Located in our Dilworth neighborhood, Dolce provides a range of Italian entrees. My favorite is the Chicken Milanese which is served with chopped lettuce and a lemon sauce--one of my best restaurant dinners in Charlotte! Bar service is limited to wine and beer.

The food was good, but somewhat pricey for the portions. There are some unusual items on the menu that make it stand out from the ordinary.

Without going into too much detail, my husband and I had dinner at Dolce during restaurant week. We didn't order off the Queens Feast restaurant since we weren't interested in dessert, big mistake! I ordered the Frutti de Mare and got food poisoning. I was very sick for 2 days but felt awful for 3-4. We have eaten there before... More

We visited Dolce during the Queen's Feast in Charlotte and were pleasantly surprised. Our appetizers of Stuffed Mushrooms (sausage, spinach and other savories) and Mussels in White Wine Sauce with garlic were superior! Main courses of Veal and Sauteed Grouper were wonderful and dessert of Lemonciello Cake and Chocolate Mousse with Champagne Sauce were fantastic. We ordered coffee with our... More

Very close and convenient to the hospital. Surprisingly warm atmosphere. Food was wonderful and the service was very good. Did not have to wait very long. VERY impressed and I will be back.

I used to love this restaurant, but feel like the servers and service has really changed over the years. They used to be really nice (and Italian I believe??), but the last couple times I have been there, the service has been poor. A couple months ago, the server had a difficult time helping with wine selection and we felt... More

So disappointed to note that this restaurant has remarkably lowered in terms of service and menu. The menu is too much American now (they serve Tilapia and crab meat, which are NOT the most Italian ingredients you can mention...) and the service was NOT acceptable. We had a very rude female waitress, not smiling at all and pushing us so... More

My wife and I had sometime for a leisurely lunch which indeed was fortunate. The first benefit of this extra time was that we chose Dolce and the second was the pace of the service. The server was very familiar with the menu and wine list. Yep we even had time for a nice class of wine for lunch. I... More

Wife and I went specifically on Tuesday since they serve housemade gnocchi only on Tuesday. My wife is a "gnocchi lover" and she completely enjoyed hers served with a four cheese sauce. I had the gnocchi with meat Bolognese sauce.......again, excellent. Our server was attentive and stopped by regularly to ask about the food and wine. I really enjoyed the... More

We had wanted to try Dolce for a while because I had noticed they make their own gnocchi one day a week. I saw a Groupon deal for them and grabbed it. We popped in on gnocchi night and had that and a glass of wine. Everything was delicious and the service was very good. There is patio seating and... More
