A family tradition - great food and a great show!

My wife and kids have been meeting up with my brother and his family each year between Christmas and New Year's to go to Nakato's in Pineville for a holiday dinner. When the kids were young, they loved the "show" - watching the chef cook, especially the "onion volcano"! Now, in their teens, they... read more

I am a fan of this place! the food is healthy, tasty, and satiating. I always go here for lunch. I really like the ambience of the place, after a few visits you may find that one chef whose food you personally love above all and wish he always serves you hahah... there nothing like eating at this place! Highly... More

Ate at this restaurant with friends. We were seated quickly and gave our drink and food orders. The chef appeared and with many flourishes gave a fascinating display juggling and joking while preparing all the different dishes while we ate our soup and salad. Then delicious Japanese noodles followed by the meats/fish we chose and the scrumptious vegetables. This is... More

We eat here once or twice a year for special occasions including just this past week. I've gotten a variety of things over the years (including sushi) and this past week got the chicken and shrimp. The food overall is good. I've never had a bad meal but also never had a great meal. I don't think the more expensive... More

overall this restaurant is what you would expect from a Japanese style steakhouse. What bugs me is that the menu is completely out of date. Not just the menu on the website but the menu in the restaurant. We dined on December 30th 2014 at 5:30 p.m. In order to have the early bird special which is a chicken and... More

Long wait to be seated. Same great server. A true entertainer. This is quite festive for family and for friends. Lots of food. Great taste. I have eaten at both locations in town. Highly recommended.

Went for Sunday lunch...our visit began with the hostess answering the phone before seating us.. After having menus in hand and ready to walk to be seated.. Not good! Then, once seated, no one approached us for our drink order until my husband loudly stated he was getting ready to leave! Food was good but portions are really small for... More

This restaurant is so much fun! The chefs cook right in front of you and do tricks with their cooking utensils and the food. The food is delicious and comes in huge portions, and entertainment is offered through the whole meal. The only downsides are that the restaurant is a but outdated, reservations are a MUST to avoid long wait... More

I went to this resturant after 3 years. Nothing has changed. The wait time is extremely long. The food was average though the sertving was big. It is overpriced. For 3 Shrimp Friedrice Hibachi had to shell out $74 which is not worth it. Other Japanese resturant can be tried. I would rather avoid this place near to WT Harris... More

This is a Benihana style restaurant where the Preparer spanks his spatulas, set things afire, and wows the diners with small magic tricks. I'm getting ahead of myself. The restaurant is well off WT Harris in Charlotte, convenient to I-85. The food is good, but not great. The wait staff with little to do (the preparer does everything) takes orders,... More
