Yes, great food, beautiful inside as well

Every meal I've had here, and I've dining with them for 10+ years, has been delicious. The service is good, the owners are nice folks, and the bar makes a mean dirty martini too.

The food was okay, it could have been better. I haven't been there in awhile, but I thought the restaurant music was loud, it wasn't background music. I was with my children, young professionals and they thought the volume was okay which surprised me because we had to yell to hear one another speak. I wouldn't go back to the... More

Third time at this great establishment. Food is great and interesting for those who ate a little adventurous, but still some "staples on the menu" for this who are basic meat and potatoes folks. The pork tenderloin is to die for, as is the fried chicken. Great wine selection and wonderful ambience. Great for special occasions, or just a great... More

I'm always a skeptic about #1 restaurants but this place was excellent. I had the beef carpaccio app, the fried duck leg which was awesome and finished it off with the berry cobbler! People at my table raved about the filet and fried chicken as well!

I went to Carpe Diem for restaurant week with three friends. We each tried something different and all agreed that the food was acceptable but not remarkable. We tried the grape salad, kale salad, and goat cheese salad. The goat cheese salad was great the other two salads were just a salad. Main dishes where fired chicken, pork tenderloin, and... More

The menu is amazing, such that it was very difficult deciding what to order. The decision became more challenging after hearing the specials, sole wrapped in prosciutto and stuffed with crab! I was pleasantly surprised by the wine list, being a long-time California resident. Our waitress was darling and clearly loved her job and the food- she was the one... More

Classy yet a relaxed atmosphere with an incredible menu! The perfect combination. I have recommended this place to couples for date night and for business dinners as well as guys or girls night out. Food is wonderful as is the service.

We made reservations early enough to get a good time for our dinner. We must not have paid attention to the details as Carpe Diem had a prix fixe dinner that evening. Having been there before and thinking of what we would eat we had to look what we would eat tonight. We had a wonderful dinner, excellent food, very... More

This is our favorite restaurant in Charlotte and for consistency of delicious, innovatively prepared meals, it is one of the best places we've eaten in the world. The preparations change but skirt steak and salmon are always delicious. They use organic food and locally source as much as they can. The beautiful interior - art deco/art nouveau is a treat...
