Wonderful brunch buffet!

My son lives in Charlotte and chose this special place to take me for breakfast. It was all delicious, and such a wide variety of choices. I had the Waldorf salad, fresh fruit, grits with gravy, butterscotch scone, banana nut muffin, biscuit with gravy, bacon & sausage. It was so good, every... read more

Alright, I've heard a lot of mixed things about Pike's in the past, but I've never had a bad experience, and I'd say that's due in large part to the fact that I always order the Honey Pecan Fried Chicken. It's simply awesome. I wouldn't stray away from that. The mac and Cheese and sweet potato casserole were also very... More

Just GO, we were there for the brunch on a Sunday...could not have been better. Food was delicious. You can order from menu OR do the buffet. We did the buffet and the selections were endless..... The service is fabulous! Even though they were busy, (and this was a cold rainy Sunday) the wait staff was kind and very knowable... More

I recently went for Sunday brunch with husband, son and his girlfriend who is a vegetarian. They have a extensive buffet with a breakfast section and separate lunch section. There's a lot of choices and we all loved our food - would particularly recommend the grits, eggs benedict, and veggie casserole, and red velvet cake (they have nice small size... More

Our group of seven lady travelers chose to visit Charlotte this summer so I followed the advice of other reviewers and we headed for Pike's on Sunday in early August. Though there was good bunch gathered at that time of day, the restaurant did not feel crowded and parking was plentiful. The spacious indoor dining area was nice and cool, but... More

Went back to Pike's Old Fashion Soda Shop for lunch today. I had the one of the daily specials. Shrimp and Grits. Was Great!!! It was also served with a side salad and a buttered biscuit. The salad was kinda strange to have with shrimp and grits but over all was good. The grits were creamy as they are supposed... More

My wife and I stopped in here for a late supper, I had the shrimp and grits because it was the special, my wife decided to go straight for dessert. My shrimp and grits were very good , not the best I've had but near the top. My wife loved her brownie sundae.. Made from scratch This place has a... More

Went for dinner and sat out on the patio. Easy street parking and right off the highway. Seven people in our party all tried something different with no complaints. Finished off with a yummy milkshake. Definitely worth stopping over.

Was looking for a great place to get some ice cream while in Charlotte and this place popped up. Turns out it's also where they shot part of the movie "Shallow Hal". I got an oreo milkshake and it was great. Even better, sat out on the patio and enjoyed the great weather. It's right next to the light rail... More

We went for the Sunday brunch. I was highly impressed with the quality of the food. So many times on buffets you'll find Frankenfood compiled from mixes and flavorings. This food was made from scratch, including the delicious applesauce. The sweet potato casserole, broccoli casserole, and biscuits and gravy were especially good. My usually picky child ate more than she... More
