I recently had a business meeting at 300 East. It was a delightful surprise and very worth the money. I had the Chicken pesto sandwich with roasted red peppers and bibb lettuce. The potato pancake I had as a side item was a pleasant surprise as well. While it was more the thickness of a crab cake than a traditional... more

What a treat. My birthday dinner in a lovely garden-like setting outside--excellent cuisine and service. Can't wait to return for another casual, yet delicious meal. Also, very reasonable!! more

This neighborhood restaurant is within walking distance of our home, but we rarely go there unless a client wants to meet there. The food is, to my taste, mediocre. I've had the black bean/chicken entree when the black beans weren't completely cooked. The upstairs is very dark. Perhaps the average food is better in the low light. Salads are a... more

A good place for a casual dinner with some different dishes on the menu, warning it can be very noisy. more

Ate here on a Saturday night. Had a nice private table upstairs. Started with a melted goat cheese and garlic appetizer. $8.50, enough for 2 people. Then had Moroccan pork chops (strange, since Muslim don't eat pork) but they were excellent. Also had the fish taco, complete with a whole tilapia. Quite nice. Nothing fancy, but good food for the... more

I was in Charlotte recently for a conference and was recommended to this restaurant. My companion and I both had great meals and recommended it to others who also raved about it! In fact, we ended up going there three other times over the next several days, taking different people each time and they ALL loved it! I even brought... more

We were staying out of town, but had to pick up our daughter at the airport...on her birthday... and we wanted to go somewhere nice, but not too fancy. After doing a little search on the net, we decided to give this a try, and we weren't disappointed. The setting is quaint, the service was very good and the food... more

We went here for my birthday dinner while on vacation. The food was hot and tasty. For appetizer, we had butternut squash ravioli and was going to have the sweet potato and squash soup-but they were all out. The ravioli was great! For the entree, I ordered the tuna sandwich-it was sooo good I didn't put it down until it... more

Good fresh and local. One of the few hamburgers cooked rare here in NC. They beat the rules by hand grinding thier filet mignon for thier burgers and then topped with awesome homemade pimento cheese. more
