Excellent spot for a Jan/July visit (restaurant week in CLT)

Built within an old church, BRWR serves a very high-end style of food seldom seen in Charlotte--inventive, flavorful, beautifully presented, eclectic, professionally served menu items accompanied by choices from an expansive wine menu. All in all, extremely well done! For those used to larger... read more

We've had a number of very nice meals at Bonterra. It's a bit on the pricey side for us so we tend to use it for special occasions, or to share a uniquely good experience with foods. Historically the service has been top notch, complimenting the meal to make the the outing a complete success. Our last visit, two weeks... More

Wine list is off the charts, incredible. They have so many wines by the glass. If you love wine this place will not disappoint. The I ambience is great. The history alone is so intriguing. We loved our food and our server was very knowledgeable. There's a lot of creativity in each dish. We would highly recommend.

We ventured here during Restaurant Week as that is usually a good way to try new places. We were a bit surprised that ONLY the Restaurant Week menu was available. Typically you are able to order something off the regular menu if the pre fix selection does not excite one of us - but not here. The place was half... More

We have been here multiple times, and have never been let down. The food is amazing! Always great quality and the perfect flavor combinations. The wine is great. Despite everything else, the wait staff may be the best thing about this restaurant. If you are able to get Jeff as your waiter and/or Donna as your bartender you will never... More

While checking out the Dilworth area of Charlotte we happened upon this gem. An old church converted into a restaurant. The food was superb, I had a filet and my husband had lamb chops and both were perfectly prepared. They have an extensive list of wines by the glass and our waitress suggested the souffle for desert which was heavenly.... More

The atmosphere is awesome, because the restaurant is in a former church. Nice intimate setting on both floors. We had been here previously for other holiday celebrations & knew we wanted to come back. But this Mother's Day wasn't impressive at all. They changed from a set menu to buffet. I personally was ok with the change, but at least... More

Tried Bonterra for the first time at Easter Brunch & we'll definitely be back! Service was warm and friendly and the buffet had lots to choose from. The eggs benedict was great!!
