This was our fourth and final night out during the Taste of Charlotte restaurant week. I didn't know until we got there that the restaurant used to be an old church prior to conversion 30 years ago. Very nicely decorated, you can see the choir balcony where they have additional seating. We got there at 5:30 PM and immediately seated.... More

On a business trip with good friends we tried this place at the recommendation of the hotel staff. Were they spot on! Good wine list at fair prices. Excellent food well presented. Service was so good it seemed effortless... but of course to do that takes class. The intertwining of locally sources foods with their interpretations of classic dishes made... More

This was the first time we have visited Bonterra. We went during restaurant week and we think that was a mistake. We really hope the quality of food is better than what we were served. My husband ordered the cheese platter and the cheeses that were given wasn't anything special. He was at least hoping for a type of blue... More

We took our family to Bonterra to celebrate my daughter leaving to study abroad. We had family fly in from DC to attend the dinner. We chosen Bonterra because we had dine here numerous times before and always had a wonderful experience. First. They didn't give us the option to order off the regular menu. Which I found strange. 3... More

Excellent service. An interesting wine list with many wines by the glass available. Located in a former babtist church. Quiet dining room and very interesting menue. My venison was prepered as requested. Will definately visit there again

This was the second time I have eaten at Bonterra, in both cases for small group events someone else organized. The atmosphere is great and we had lots of privacy up in the former choir loft. However, in my opinion, the food was seriously overpriced for the quality and quantity. The Bonterra House Salad ($10) was described as "Port Poached... More

Situated in a former church this in one of the most unique restaurants we've ever eaten in. If wine is your thing, this is the place to dine! They offer over 200 wines by the glass or bottle. Our waiter, David, brought me 3 small glasses of different wines to try. I liked the one he had chosen for me.... More

If the wine menus is number one or two on your Considerations for where to dine, you can't beat Bonterra. The dinner menu is complete, but , but not so diverse that it takes 15 minutes to make a decision. Try the fried lobster tail entree, or appetizer- a house specialty. The grouper was fresh and perfectly prepared. With dozens... More

I had a business dinner with 4 guests and they selected Bonterra to dine. I was early for the reservation and ordered a bottle of wine at the bar while waiting for my quests to arrive. While waiting I looked at the reviews of the restaurant on TripAdvisor. I am writing my reviews for three reasons. First however, I want... More
