My sister and I enjoyed a very nice evening with a wonderful waiter at Bonterra not to long ago. We started with one of their dips for the bread and it was fantastic. We then moved on to the second course, foie gras and a wonderful arugula and watermelon salad, both were delicious. For our entrees I had the steak... More

I've had two dinners at Bonterra, and both were in the basement wine cellar, which makes the location very cool and different. There is a very fine selection of wines, and while I'm no expert in vino, those with me were and were impressed. We enjoyed three bottles and all were superb. Service is fantastic and personable. Food: Overall very... More

We had a wonderful meal here last night. We shared the fried lobster appetizer and it was delicious. SC grouper was fresh and served with a wonderful sauce and corn. Homemade chocolate ice cream tasted just made. Our server was the best. This is a great space. Tables are not close together, very comfortable. We will eat here again when... More

This is a restaurant that we have been to only a few times. But with that said we are usually impressed with it. The service is usually excellent. Food is also almost always excellent. Prices can be challenging but that is the case with many high end restaurants. The ambiance is very nice in this repurposed church.

We were attending a wedding reception July 2014 . The staff was wonderful and very polite. The food was very good . The wines offered were very good and they had a great selection. The restaurant is located in and old church. It was very pretty. All in all it was a great experience. We will return for dinner .

Like many others, we took advantage of the Queens Feast Restaurant Week offerings here, a restaurant which we had never visited before. The whole idea was a success: we got to visit where we would not normally go, and the restaurant was able to offer a reduced menu at a reduced price instead of their normal fare, for those participating.... Bonterra is housed in a former church, no doubt Protestant from the austere architecture. However, the ambiance and vibe is anything but. The place is jammed with all age groups, and seems especially attractive to groups of women out together. We had a large group of business folk (12), and ate alone in one of the wine cellar rooms (Pinot).... More

I thought we would love the place but we didn't. Our server was pleasant. We waited extremely long periods of time between courses. At one point I looked around and no one at the ten tables around us had food. The soup was barely warm and didn't taste great, the salad was tiny. The calamari was tasty but the pieces... More

My wife and I went there this past week during the Queens Feast Restaurant Week, which the restaurant participates in, and were very dismayed at the size of portions served at dinner. A order of mussels for an appetizer had six empty shells out of a serving of 14 mussels....an order of calamari was limited to eight pieces...over fried. The... More

They offer free valet parking at this historic 1800's church, now restaurant . Normally this is a very pricey place so we went during Queen's feast and they offered affordable selections on a special menu. Server was very professional. Atmosphere was romantic in the evening. People were dressed in business casual and fancy. Bonterra has awards from wine spectators list.... More
