4 of us went for restaurant week and I want to start by saying the kale, crab cakes, octopus and soup was great! Waygu steaks were delis and the lobster, those not nearly as much as anticipated, was good.. the salmon was a bit under seasoned however. The tarte, was amazing! Creme Brulee was pretty good but the mochi was... More

Every 3rd Friday of the month Upstream offers this event 4 pm to 7 pm.which I attended Jan 15, 2016. Staff gracious, the wine rep a delight. Four flights of wine with delicious appetizers were served for a nice value of $ 25.00. My friend and I sat at the bar and enjoyed the experience. I will now try to... More

My husband & I arrived a bit early, before dining room service had begun and were seated in the bar area. We were given the option to move to the dining area when full service began, however, we chose to stay seated in the bar, which was lively, but not too loud, and enjoy our meal there. Very nice atmosphere!... More

Arrived for Thanksgiving Brunch. Seated (with reservation) promptly. Restaurant was bustling and a little loud for the darkened candlelit room. Brunch had a large selection of bread, cheese and dips, fresh salads, shellfish (oysters, mussels and shrimp), along with Sushi. Pretty basic vegetable dishes, creamed potatoes that would have been better with less seasoning and bacon; cornbread stuffing, yams, green... More

We went out to dinner for a family get-together, since we were staying at the Hampton Inn, Upstream seemed like a good option. The waitress, who was really nice, recommended the sea bass, unfortunately, I didn't listen to her and ordered the scallops. By the time the scallops arrived (nearly 45 mins later), they were cold, not luke warm, but... More

My wife and I met another couple for an evening out, my first visit here. We met them in what I suppose was a bar section. It was very active and noisy. Not knowing there was another seating section, I was worried we'd be competing with all the noise. Luckily after our drinks, we were seated in a corner table... More

We visited here for dinner after a day of shopping at Southpark. We were not really business casual but we figured we would be ok. We were. The service was absolutely superb. The food was average seafood with a hyped price. I could have easily gone across the street to Dean and Deluca. I may just do that next time....

We always come to Upstream when we visit Charlotte, and we always love the food. This time I wasn't very happy with my entree, and the server practically insisted on getting a replacement. I agreed, and very shortly it arrived. I would like to thank him and the manager for being so kind and making it easy for me to... More

The place has nice ambience. It's an Asian fusion restaurant, so don't expect the authentic experience. I had shrimp bento box that came with shrimp tempura (with no dipping sauce but yuzu aioli), grilled shrimp with Asian slaw, wok veggies, ceviche, and cucumber salad. It surprised me it didn't come with rice at all. When I ordered a side of... More
