Great food, exceptional service. Parking sucks but that's what you get for uptown. Truffle fries are a treat. Went for a celebration dinner for my husband but didn't have a reservation so had to sit in the bar area. It was really early for dinner so I didn't think it would be an issue - live and learn.

My boyfriend and I came to Charlotte to celebrate my birthday and made reservations at the Capital Grille. We are huge fans of the Capital Grille but have to say the Charlotte location is by far our favorite. They placed confetti on the table and gave us a nice corner booth, which I was very pleased to get in such... More

Filet and clam chowder during a downtown bike race. Fun but a bit pricey. Certainly worth a trip again when in town! Good wine selection and service. Wait was a bit much.

My husband and I choose Capital Grille for our much anticipated date night. We decided to dine at the bar since it was after 8pm and we didn't know if we wanted a full dinner. We were greeted promptly and shown the wine list on an iPad which was pretty neat and fun to look through. We choose a bottle... More

Had an excellent pre show meal. Expensive but good quality food. Our waiter was a little off that night but the rest of the staff picked up where he was not doing so well so it didn't totally ruin it. He may have just been overwhelmed. But wasn't attentive to the details like you would expect in a fine dining... More

I held a business meeting here in "The Exchange Room". The room was detached from the restaurant, which I found odd at first, but it proved to be exceedingly quiet and highly confidential. We started with two seafood platters that featured colossal shrimp, fresh oysters, chilled lobster and all the trimmings. I highly recommended the platters for business meetings --... More

I give it 4 stars and not 5 because it is really expensive and because it doesn't have something that sets it apart from all other restaurants in its class!! I went here a couple of time and will be going again and zero regrets! Very classy But it's not Bentley's classy and it's not Fig Tree unique -:)

You know what you get with a Capital Grille - marvellous steak, swanky surroundings and great service. I had the special trio of steaks, very nicely done, and we shared a massive dish of Brussels sprouts and potatoes au gratin. Very good wine list. Yes, it's expensive, but worth it.

While the food is good the service here is beyond compare and that is why I enjoyed dining there. It is expensive but for a special occasion or before the theatre it is a good experience. Good location for things in Uptown Charlotte.
