I have heard a lot about this restaurant since we moved to the Charlotte area. Had the opportunity to dine here during this past weeks, restaurant week. Here is my breakdown: Ambiance 7/10- Really nice looking restaurant inside, very sharp and rich looking. The only downside was it was quite loud in there, regardless of the high ceilings, Definately a... More

The beef is properly aged, the preparation is exactly as you ask, no false starts, the portions are generous. The side dishes are well flavoured, but not overwhelming. The spices on any of your choices of meat will blend wonderfully and support the meat without overpowering your taste buds, like we found in many so-called Steak Houses. Of course the... More

I went there for something called Restaurant Week, which gives you a prefix menu at $30 per person. You get an appetizer, a meal and a dessert. There is a small wait even when you have a reservation so you can have a drink at the bar, which is a very lively scene. I had the clam chowder which was... More

Our preference over other major steak chains for great food and service. A chopped salad to die for, creative sides, and even half portions if you want.Warm ambiance, no rush and everyone is over-the-top attentive. Chef even sent personal note with our wrapped leftovers. Nice touch

My daughter was in town in May and it happened to be the same time as the "Speed Street" Festival. They block several of the main streets and fill with vendors. One of the streets included the one with the Capital Grille, which made it even better. We ate outside on their front patio and there was live music from... More

My 3 sisters, my daughter and I celebrated a 60th.birthday at The Capitol Grille. We all agreed that we had never had such royal treatment at a restaurant! Our waiter,(Jim), went overboard to make sure that everything was perfect! From the free glass of champagne to the base of roses, it could have not been more perfect! We all wanted... More

OK. I gave this a "Very Good" because of the steak. I had the porterhouse. Was it good? Yes. Was it a large serving? Yes. Was it flavorful? Not my porterhouse. I ordered it rare and with nothing on it so as to not distract from the natural flavor. It arrived what appeared to be a reduction lightly drizzled on... More

It IS a little pricey, but worth the cost..depending on who you are with and what you are aiming for. The service was impeccable and the food excellent. I was lucky to be with 2 very attractive women and the waiter made pleasant conversation without oggling too much. IT might have explained the superlative service though :-)

Very nice location in Uptown Charlotte, same menu than all the other Capital Grille`s. Good steaks, nice wine selection, good service. Over all a good selection for a steak in Charlotte
