Average food for a fishhouse but not a bad airport option

Had dinner here at the CHarlotte airport on a halt on the way to NYC. The crispy shrimp salad was nothing spectacular.. shrimps were fried and too much glaze, the salad drowned in the dressing.. so not sure if I really had a healthy meal..Also no clam chowder! If you dont have high... read more

I ordered a crab cake breakfast. I had high hopes...I feel like had the crab cake been at least warm it would have been descent...but since it was basically cold...it was very mediocre...Then the eggs were not real...they were those box liquid eggs...All yellow eggs is a tell tell sign of that...now I know they serve real eggs because the... On a connection hand had a few hours to burn, my friend and I were heading in separate directions and met up for a dinner here. The place get's busy and empties as the plane banks arrive and depart. Not the best option on a short connection but great if you have given yourself time. The fish and chips were... More

I had the Lobster Bisque and the Blackened Mahi Mahi which were both very good. That was the first time I had bisque and it had great lobster flavor, but it wasn't for me, I would rather have chowder. The blackened Mahi Mahi was delicious! But having a soda, bisque, mahi mahi plate, and a tip for $38 is pretty... More

It was edible but just barely. I know airport food is spotty at best but this is way overcooked, salty fried seafood. Captain D's is much better than this place. I do have to say the service staff was very good but you would be better off going to Burger King for the food. I live in Virginia Beach and... More

Always a great spots to have seafood for breakfast while waiting for flight. The crabmeat omelette was superb as were the home fries and Texas toast. The service is friendly and quick, as they understand the pressure of the airport.

Phillips is decent seafood regardless of location and it's great having it at the airport if you have plenty of time. Stopped there today with 45 minutes to spare between flights and was assured that was more than enough time to get me in and out. Well, 30 minutes later I hadn't received my order so I finally had to... More

Had a short layover at CLT in Charlotte and was lucky to come by Phillips Seafood. I had a nice cold Stellas as well as a Lobster Bisque and Blackened Mahi Mahi. Both the soup and the Mahi Mahi were very good, I was surprised to get such good food at an airport restaurant. It was a bit pricey but... More

You tend to have low expectations about airport food to begin with. But if you're stuck in a terminal for several hours waiting for a connecting flight, the idea of a sit-down restaurant with waiter service can be awfully attractive. These are in a minority at Charlotte, and I entered Phillips with no expectations. I was pleasantly surprised. I ordered... More

Cobb salad was unremarkable. Actually, less than unremarkable: nearly all wedge lettuce, had to hunt for the egg, bacon, etc. Beer was a tad warm. Lots of choices at CLT, suggest trying them first.
