Great venue

Stopped in after spending the afternoon walking around out in the hot sun. Their Copper brew was an excellent choice to begin the cool down. Had good service even though they were very busy. Enjoyed a couple different brews. For my personal taste the porter is too sweet, but I am old sourpuss... read more

While visiting from Maine, we spent an afternoon at the Brewery with Family. Very lively and upbeat. Excellent beer in a very friendly atmosphere! Wait staff was knowledgeable and upbeat. Food was good. We sat both inside and outside the facility and enjoyed both. This was our second visit, the first being three years ago prior to them opening this... More

I was actually just in Munich last month so after moving to Charlotte and hearing about OMB, I was very excited. It really did seem like a beer garden you would see in Munich (it reminded me a lot of Hirschgarten for those that have been). There was a food truck and 5 different types of beer outside. Overall a... More

Lunch included some great beers and real German food. A variety of German sausages are offered American-style, on a bun, or German-style, with a pretzel roll on the side. Strong mustard and a choice of sides such as German-style potato salad or sauerkraut completed our platters. Oh, and don't forget some great German-style beer - the brown ale was great!... More

A trip to the Munich Oktoberfest is in my future, but for now this must be the next best thing. The beer is honed to perfection, no oddball concoction just plain beer. The atmosphere is wonderful. The bar itself is made of really beautiful wood (I think it is Maple). The restaurant seating area is large tables and benches. The... More

I went to the Olde Mecklenburg Brewery for a friend's birthday and was pleasantly surprised by the awesome atmosphere. It is such a cool place... There was outdoor seating with corn hole and an outdoor bar, and also indoor seating family style. It feels like you are transported to Europe as soon as you step inside. Sadly the food was... More

All around great food, beer, atmosphere, & service. Recommend to go early for dinner. Was not very busy when we arrived, but really picked up by the time we left. Our son, who studied in Germany, recommended the currywurst, which was very good. I ordered the Margherita pizza & my husband, the Roasted Mushroom & Carmelized Onion pizza. Both were... More

First off, amazing beer! The seasonal Hornet's Nest is delicious and fruity. The beer hut has everything right on tap outside. There are plenty of tables (with or without shade) to enjoy food and drinks. They have burgers and dogs, plus kielbasa german or american style. The pretzels with beer cheese are tasty! Great way to spend a summer day... More

Had a late lunch here last week. The place was basically empty but it was a weekday. Very nice atmosphere and it was all new. The outside patio is enormous and looks like it would be fun with a lot of friends. The beer menu is extensive but all options are not available at all times so it's deceiving. I... More
