Great Beer, Gets BUSY!

I been to Olde Meck a number of times but recently just had the chance to visit their new location and WOW is it nice. They have a well laid out Biergarten with huge firepits. The indoor seating area is not that large considering the size of the place but it's decor is very cool. The beer has always... read more

My husband and I love this brewery, so much we had our wedding reception here. We love the beer and beer garden. My husband is German and I have lived in Germany for a while and this is our favorite beer in Charlotte.

What a find! Located in an industrial park just south of downtown Charlotte, this is a virtual theme park of beer! Free tours of the brewery are offered and there is plenty of room to relax and savor the craft in the large German themed beer hall (Brauhaus). A full menu features brats and pub fare to accompany the brew.... More

I went for my birthday with a group of friends and we sat in the Biergarten. It was fun. There were a lot of people there, so by prepared for that. Enjoyed the wurste varieties and the German potato salad.

Myself and two of my business associates decided to dine and drink beer at the Olde Mecklenburg Brewery. It was great. The beers are obviously fresh and very drinkable. Then food menu had an emphasis on German items. The prices are very reasonable. I had a soft pretzel with mustard and cheese dips for an appetizer. For my meal I... More

This place is way too big and you just kind of get lost in the building. I tend to like a space that is a bit more welcoming. But if you like large places then this might be it for you. The beers were okay nothing to brag about. I'd say good quality beers that are drinkable. The bar top... More

The Olde Mecklenberg Copper has always been one of my favorite beers so I decided to visit the brewery in Charlotte. It is a very impressive place. I was there on their 6 year anniversary so it was quite crowded. I went on the tour of the brewery and learned a bunch. The guide was interesting, knowledgeable and funny. I... More

If you have ever been to Germany chances ar high that you have had a Currywurst in one of the thousands of small "Imbiss" (deli) at the corner. Pair that with an amazing, most delicious beer - and you know you are in Germany Well, thata has changed. The Olde Mecklenburg Brewery has brought these icons of German tradition and... More

Fantastic atmosphere and great beer. The Captain Jack is my favorite, be sure to get a pretzel with beer cheese. Family & pet friendly. Cannot find a better place to enjoy a beer outside than OMB.

Their new and larger place is fantastic. The layout is nice and the outdoor area is awesome. So much room for friends to talk and room for activities that aren't in the way of others. Large bar area but it can get crowded on a Saturday, especially if its nice out. The parking is on the street so bring your... More
