We actually visited the Carolina ale house twice. Once was for drinks (lots) in the afternoon, and another was for dinner and more drinks. Our waiter, josh, was awesome! He was sweet and very fun! We had a creepy guy come to our table and not want to leave, and josh helped me and my friends get the creepy guy... More

After a Panthers game on Saturday night, we went to eat at the Ale House. We were not allowed to enter the building at all because my wife did not have her ID. This also happened to the couple in front of us. They were probably in their 40's and we are in our 50's, so what's the deal with... More

I ate dinner here recently on a Saturday night. The waiter recommended to start with their famous Chili. I ordered chicken finger plate with fries and slaw. The chili came out cold so much so it would not melt the cheese on top. I finally convinced my waiter to take it off the bill and not bring a replacement. When... More

The Ale House is a typical, pub food restaurant. It has a huge, expansive porch outside with several tables and cornhole boards. We enjoyed the atmosphere and our attentive waitress but the homeless people were aggressively staring at us eating food and approaching people as they left. It was dark and 10pm so this obviously made us uncomfortable so we... More

The restaurant is centrally located near the convention center and the epicenter. They have a great beer selection and the brisket sandwich is delicious. Very friendly host staff.

I had lunch here today with several of my colleagues. The service was quick, the staff was friendly, the food was good, etcetera. The only downside I had was that they put a tomato on my sandwich after I specifically asked them not to. They have lunch specials and the food quality is actually very good. This is become one... Carolina Ale House has very poor recipe for nachos. The cheese is a spicy, watery process orange substance. The chips are dry, bland and taste like cardboard. This has happened twice to me, at Charlotte NC and Raleigh NC. If you have any standards for good nachos, don't frustrate yourself by ordering nachos at Carolina Ale House. Their drinks are... More

Let me say the service was great. Our waitress was attentive and very polite. Food is another story. Ordered bacon cheese fries. Cheese was not melted at all and fries were not even warm. Had pulled pork and wing platter. Pulled pork was missing. It was just hard bark and fat smothered in bbq sauce. Cole slaw was completely dry.... More

The environment in the House was vibrant, with large screens that share what's going on everywhere in the world of sports! I had the buffalo boneless wings and the house burger which were delicious! There were billiards tables and probably more but we were eating before a flight out of town. Was definitely worth putting on the map as a... More
