My wife and I went to a Birthday Party at Carolina Ale House in July 2014. When we arrived for our friend's 40th Birthday Party, we were told that it was up stairs. Since I walk with a cane, I thought the staff would direct me to an elevator. Unfortunately they didn't because the one person elevator was being used... More

I had a nice burger here. The beer selection is good. Nothing fancy, but what they do, they do well.

We visited the Carolina Ale House while on a business trip to Charlotte. This restaurant is rather spacious but has very average food. If you are a drinker and like to watch sports while you eat, this is the place for you. The waitress seemed to be scarce as well and it took quite a while to get our bill.... More

Excellent food at a great price. Plenty of TV's to watch the games. Great atmosphere. Service was really good. Group of 6 had a great time.

Just a short walk from the Westin sits this little gem. I had their veggie beef soup to start and it was tasty, seasoned well, with a great broth. Next came their wings, which I asked for their hottest but my server brought me something less. Still they were meaty, tasty, and something I would order again. I finished with... More

My husband and I came here before going to the football game. The restaurant was not very crowded(maybe this should have been the sign). We ordered drinks which came out right away and then we placed our food order, very simple a basket of fries and wings. We watched people around us (who had been seated after we did) get... More

We came here hungry and left satisfied. Love the decor, the selection on beers, and the food. My shrimp and avocado salad was delicious. The guys really enjoyed the wings!!! A definite keeper!!

Yay! It is my first night in Charlotte, and I'm meeting my colleague here for dinner. We walk in and are taken to a bar height table. There is a regular height table right across the narrow walk way and we asked to be seated there. (Picture attached below.) We were told, "The server for that table is not here... More

My wife and I had dined at the CAH quite a number of times in the past four years. We probably ate lunch there more often than we did dinner, but we felt we knew the restaurant well. So, when we had to be downtown for a show, the Ale House was our venue of choice. At 6:00 pm on... More

As a Boston resident in Charlotte for the weekend of the big Patriots-Broncos game, I had to actively seek out the best sports bar in the Charlotte downtown area where I was staying and I think this place delivered. Lots of TV's and they had no problem putting sound on for that game. Great beer selection, around 40 or so... More
