This place has moved and changed names, but it is truly authentic New Orleans cuisine. Having just recently taken a trip to NOLA, I can say this was far better than any restaurant I dined while in NOLA. Will definitely be back!

I had been told that this was outrageously good. It's not bad, but nothing to write home about. The food was quite good, not over the top though. It's a little place adjacent to the light rail. Nice place to sit outside and watch the world go by(and the young women). Parking is odd. The place was hard to find.... More

I was a real fan of Bite Your Tongue when it was located on Randolph Rd and was excited to see that they had opened in a "real" restaurant venue. Other than being very difficult to find, it is a nice location. The address is on Bland St, but that is the address of the building the restaurant is in.... More

I am from New Orleans and I know how Cajun, Creole food is supposed to taste. My family of 4 found this restaurant through a Groupon. We ordered the Cajun Egg rolls and BBQ Shrimp as an appetizer. My 15 year old son loved the egg rolls. They we tasty but did not remind me of New Orleans. The BBQ... More

Ordered shrimp and grits. My $10 plate arrived with 5 - let me say that again - 5 tiny little salad shrimp and a small pie shaped piece of grits. Left hungry and had to eat something else shortly after to actually feel like I ate dinner. I won't be back.

Where should I start? Food was so well flavored I felt like I had left Charlotte. Everything was tasty but the greens had spices I had never had before and I am a serious soul food connoisseur. I went on a groupon which let me sample everything. Thank goodness for the groupon because it made me continue to search for... More

As other's have said the atmosphere is certainly not fine dining, but I found the food to be well worth the trip! We started off with the BBQ shrimp which were very good in a nice garlic broth served with toast points. I recommend them highly. I had the crawfish etouffe, which was really full of flavor. I am used... More

Arriving at the restaurant be prepared for an untraditional seating process. When busy groups line up and are placed on a list to order food at the counter. Only after you reach the front of the line and order do you get to be seated at a table. In this way it is very cafe like. If you are looking... More

With a name like "Bite Your Tongue" and all of the positive reviews, I was really looking forward to this place! Maybe we went on an off day but I found the service and food to be really mediocre. They were also out of many of the items we wanted to try even though it was only 12:30 on a... More

My friend girl took me here today. This was my first time and it was delicious! The place is small, but quaint. The Voodoo Crawfish Egg Rolls are sort of greasy, but really good. Will be back soon!
