Great Mission - Great Food

I can't say enough good things about our experience here. I love the concept, I love the location, I love the atmosphere, and I truly loved my meal, as did each in our party of 4. I had the pan seared chicken that was fantastic. The skin was crispy and packed with flavor, and the chicken juicy and... read more

I chose to eat at this restaurant based on the reviews and it was across the street from the Marriott city center that I was staying in. The restaurant was very clean and trendy. The staff were extremely friendly. I love fried chicken so I ordered the pan fried Fried chicken with sides that included the butter beans, mashed potatoes... More

I enjoyed the baked bbq chicken with three sides. The chicken was perfectly baked and the sauce was perfect. Collard greens were the 2nd best I've ever had, and I've had a lot of collards in my life. My other sides were Mac and cheese and green beans. The green beans were amazing, prepared southern style. Service was friendly and... More

Excellent, affordable southern comfort food that uses all profits to support locl ministries. We enjoyed a family lunch while staying at the Marriott City center. Interior is clean and trendy and wait staff is fantastic. Burgers were fantastic. Vegetables were our favorites and the desserts - especially the coconut cake- were superb!

While visiting Charlotte, we spontaneously stopped into The King's Kitchen, since it looked so warm and inviting, through the windows we saw people clearly enjoying themselves and their food. We didn't have reservations, so we sat at the "bar" which is "u" shaped and warmly lit and wide, and is not separated in any way from the rest of the... More

Stopped for lunch and it was worth it, The food portions are plentiful and budget friendly. What makes this place really special is that they close from 2 to 5 on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday to serve the homeless and have bible study. The staff is amazing and service was quick. I had the classic burger was very pleased. Others... More

How often do you find farm to table casual dining restaurant with delicious southern cuisine.......that is also a non profit organization with a mission to feed the homeless? If that isn't enough, my waiter enthusiastically shared how they have daily bible study and also run a full scale culinary training program for people coming out of homelessness and drug recovery.... First of all, this place had the NICEST and FRIENDLIEST staff of any restaurant I've ever been to in my life! A shout out to our waitress Charity - the sweetest smile and most attentive server. We tipped her well and she deserved it. The food is traditional southern food. Everything we ordered was fantastic, but I must say the... More
