I ate breakfast there today with a buddy from work. I had scrambled eggs, bacon and grits which were good. My friend also tried the sweet potato hash and liked it. Wasn't crowded at all. Great service. I haven't found many full service breakfast options uptown so glad to know about this.

I decided to take the morning off for my husbands birthday and take him out to breakfast. This was a new restaurant for us and we were very pleasantly surprised. My breakfast/biscuit sandwich was huge and all for 5.00. My husbands over easy (perfectly cooked) eggs and bacon were great. Love that they source many products locally. We'll be trying... More

I met a client here for lunch and was amazed at the menu and the food. This is an excellent restaurant in the heart of "uptown" Charlotte. I would definitely go back here

My husband and I were in Charlotte for a conference. So many yummy-sounding dining choices in downtown Charlotte, but we were SO GLAD that we chose this restaurant! Perfect fried oysters for an appetizer. Fall-apart-tender roast with collard greens, creamed corn, and mashed spuds and gravy. Amazing fried catfish special with dirty rice and Cajun corn. And the biscuits were... More

This was my first time having lunch - my friend and I both ordered the 1/2 Chicken salad sandwich with a cup of the tomato soup. They were both delicious and just the right amount. The bill was only $10.83 so I thought there must be a mistake but turns out they soup was considered our side so the price... More

Ferch on the corner of West trade, this unassuming restaurant was a great find. Who knew? We have driven by numerous times not knowing truly what was in store. Our dishes were fresh and seasoned perfectly. The fried oysters were a great appetizer. They could have been fried a bit longer, but they tasted fresh and great. The Porkchop accompanied... More

As a former Charlotte resident, I remember when this place was on the drawing board. A non-profit restaurant dedicated to providing funds, and job training, for the cities homeless and needy population. It only takes a short walk around the uptown blocks to see there is a great need here. My visit was after a long day of travel and... More

Kings Kitchen is a non profit restaurant with it's proceeds going to help feed those in need and provide jobs and training. The restaurant had a comfortable atmosphere, decent wine and beer list and an interesting choice of foods on the menu. My husband had pot roast with a couple of sides which he said was like home cooking. I... More

While staying downtown at the Doubletree, I used TA to find this place. It was only 0.4 miles but I don't recommend walking to the restaurant. Although it was still light out there were men along the way that were homeless and the city doesn't have police on patrol. Anyway, the restaurant is very nice and was busy. My server... More

Great food and a great mission statement! The mac and cheese was fantastic, as was the chicken sandwich. Too bad they were out of the sweet potato wedges.
