Great Thai experience

We happened upon this Thai restaurant during our December visit to Charlotte. We always like to find Thai food on our travels, and this was a great discovery. The service was good, prompt and reliable. The food was fresh, well-prepared and delicious. The Larb was amazing with the perfect mix of... read more

We recently moved to Charlotte from the Seattle area and were desperate to find a good Thai place to satisfy our cravings. (Seattle was a Mecca for Thai food lovers!) We have tried many different places and weren't all too impressed; it seemed to us that too many Thai places were trying to be too many different things to too... More

Recently moved back to the Charlotte area and need to find new "go-to" places to eat. We think we've found our "go-to" for Thai. We have been there twice in as many weeks and were very pleased both times. Excellent Pad Prik on first visit and the Red Curry on second visit put all others I have had (and it's... More

So why the average rating? Quite simple: The food was, well, average. We started off with the "Talay Tod Krob." The shrimp had quite a thick batter coating, and the batter on the calamari didn't adhere after dipped into the homemade chili sauce which was very tasty. I ordered the "Pad Kee Mao" and that was pretty good. The heat... More

Discovered this by chance, and was pleasantly surprised (it is in a small strip mall next to a small movie theater). The appetizer of Basil Rolls were shrimp, lettuce, and basil wrapped in a thin rice noodle (served cold), and quite good, especially with the tangy sauce that came with it. The Mountain Beef was tasty and mild; The Lemon... More

Went in the evening with a large group and everyone ordered a different plate. I normally don't like Thai food but my plate was extraordinary. Everything on it was perfectly made and the tastes were astonishing. I sampled a few other of my friend's dishes and agreed with them they were excellent. Service was great as well. This is a... I have never been to Thailand and am therefore not able to evaluate any Thai restaurant in regards to whether they prepare their dishes close to the original or not. My wife and I really enjoy high quality, fresh ingredients used in a well executed dish. So we are rather picky when it comes to restaurants and there are unfortunately... More

I'm spoiled as I moved here from San Francisco so I'm accustom to great Asian restaurants on every block of the city. It's been a difficult transition to a city that does not have a huge Asian population like SF when it comes to finding fabulous Thai food. Lucky for me, I found Deejai Thai Restaurant on Providence just next... More

Spent a girls weekend in Charlotte w/ ladies from college this weekend. I'm a lover of Thai food so our host queried her Charlotte friends for a good Thai restaurant. This was one of the two most suggested. Though the other was rate highly and spoken of highly, just as this one was we opted for this one, since it... More

I moved here from San Francisco so I've been spoiled by excellent authentic Asian cuisine. I'm just a "foodie" and very critical of ethnic restaurants that are really "Americanized". I just hate when they dilute their country's fabulous food. That being said, I LOVE DEEJAI THAI !! It's the very best, most authentic ethnic restaurant in all of Charlotte. They... More
