I had heard about this place several times but never made it in until last night. The restaurant itself is a combination of posh, elegant, and also casual. Most of the people there were well dressed but there doesn't seem to be a dress code. I opted for the Pad Prik with tofu--a combination of seasonal vegetables, herbs and garlic... More

One of my favorite restaurants in Uptown! The Red Curry dish is amazing!! This place gets very busy around lunch, so be sure to get there early!

I just moved to charlotte and love Thai food and Basil was awesome. The food is great, you can tell they use high quality and fresh ingredients and the spices are just right. We had great service, the drinks were good. Great experience

I highly recommend Basil Thai for dinner in Charlotte. Nice atmosphere, great service (ask for Woods for your waiter) and excellent food. The best Thai I have ever eaten.

Four of us went to early dinner on a Sunday evening and were not disappointed. Everyone enjoyed their food, and the waitress was kind enough to have some regular cold sake heated in replacement of some that was very sweet. We will return, but next time we will sit at a table instead of a booth that wasn't too comfortable.

Pineapple mojitos were tasty. Tom yum soup big enough for two, arrives flaming! Chicken fried rice with vegetables delicious. Service excellent. Ate outside on sidewalk. Lovely!

This was my second time dining here and the food was amazing. I had the pad woon Sen with shrimp and beef. It was delicious and cooked perfectly. Egg rolls were average and tasty. Took home a piece of carrot cake and they even provided the lemon glaze on the side. It was fantastic; as good as homemade. Excellent service.... More

Typical Thai place with a good selection but a bit smaller menu than more authentic Thai places we've been to. The food was good and the service prompt ( though we weren't in a hurry since we were catching up with old friends - and they didn't rush us out). This was certainly one of the best decorated Thai restaurants... More
