Their breakfast sandwiches are amazing! The ground sausage that they use really hits the spot. The atmosphere is cute and there are so many options in their bakery. The French Lavendar Lemonade is a must try as well.

When I am in Charlotte, the first place I head to is Amelie's! Believe it or not I was never a huge lover of sweets, but this bakery has made me a convert! Where do I begin? The ambience is eclectic and hip, with crazy, wonderful decor in every corner...they call it Parisian shabby. Always something to look at! All... More

I haven't had a pastry at this place that I didn't like. My favorites are the pistachio macarons (or however they're spelled). But at $2.29 each, you can imagine how getting addicted them might burn a small hole in one's pocket. Still, I can't say they aren't worth every penny, And the same goes for all the other pastries that... More

The original Amelie's is located in the Art District of Charlotte (NoDa) - this Amelie's is open 24/7 allowing you to stop in for coffee & sweets throughout the night. Great decor & atmosphere to enjoy french press coffee & small bites with friends. A Charlotte must-do! Note: The location uptown is only open during business hours, has a much... More

We were looking for something out of the ordinary, and we found it. This place had magnificent pastries and cakes, we purchased many little treats and were not disappointed. Tasted like Paris, we will be going back for a meal in the cafe when we return to Charlotte. Service was excellent as well.

The Salted Caramel Brownies are the best things you will ever eat. I'm serious. I also love their breakfast sandwiches. This is the best place for an early morning eat. I always take my out of town guests. My friend visited Amelie's and was so inspired that she's now at pastry school in France. It's just an amazing place. The... More

This is an awesome bakery and fun atmosphere. Plenty of pastries, and other good eats to choose from. There are usually a lot of people during regular lunch hour and weekends. Give yourself some time to relax and enjoy it.

Amelie's is a gem! The decor is eclectic and artsy. The pastries are delish. The food is super yummy. The coffee and tea are made with love. Amelie's is a fantastic place to meet friends to hang out, go on a coffee date or go to work on a Sunday afternoon. This is one of my favorite places in Charlotte.

Amelie was born in the US, raised in France, and returned to open a delightful, quirky, authentic French bakery and cafe. She serves breakfast, lunch & dinner, and oh lots of French pastries--all authentic. We tried soup, cafe, and five pastries (pistaccio opera torte was the best) but all were wonderful. The atmosphere is shabby artistique with a melange of... More

Gluten free Salted Caramel Brownies. I died in wicked indulgence and In absolute bliss. Truly the best thing I ever ate. Regarding the glutenous brownie in the same flavor - my gluten eating friend verified that my GF version was better than his regular version.
