I was passing through Charlotte and decided to stop here for dinner. I was the only white person there. The place was full of Indian customers. I took that as an excellent sign. My meal was wonderful. There was only one waiter for the dinning room, so the service wasn't as great as the good. Still a great experience. I... More

This was my first visit to an Indian restaurant since I moved to the US from India. I didn't have high expectations but it turned out to be great. The service was good. Since they have a buffet on Sundays we opted for that. It was $11 per person and it came with a free Dosa at the end of... More

Me and my wife both went yesterday evening. We ordered Dahi Wada. It was spoiled and seems it was stale (May be 3-4 days). We thought of checkout and brought this into the notice of the Manager. The lady (Don't know her name) was arrogent. We very politely started telling her that we are just bringing this to your notice... More

The owner is friendly. Prices are reasonable. Location in the city is not very convenient. The dishes would taste much better if the SAMBHAR and CHUTNEYS had more flavor.

Fantastic curries and breads at reasonable prices. Small dinning room is well kept and service is attentive and friendly.

A wonderful experience with a truly Indian flavour. We had an appetiser of gluten free dosa with with a creamy coconut and a spicy dipping sauce. Our entree consisted of the Northern Thali combination plate with a wet and dry curry and we topped it off with a delightful homemade pistachio ice cream. Each item was outstanding. The waiter patiently... More

If you are looking for excellent vegetarian or simply real Indian food you MUST visit The Woodlands. I have never had a bad dish here, whether it was eat-in, took-out or on the buffet. Mind you, don't come here for the ambiance as this no-nonsense restaurant is meager in terms of the dining space, but who cares when the food... More

The Sunday buffet was very average. They serve one dosa to the table but it is small. All chutneys and sambar is watered down. It was a long drive for average food.

I got take out on a Friday evening - Rasam soup and Szechuan mushroom noodles. I wanted an example of something spicy, since I had only eaten any Indian cuisine once. I got what I wanted. Both dishes were so spicy that I could barely finish. I talked to Agnes, the hostess and wife of the chef, Leslie, while I... More
