Wine Sommelier go away!

Everything was great EXCEPT the wine sommelier. He was - by far - the most aggressive and pushiest server we ever encountered. We had a large group - we travel frequently - and this gentleman borderline ruined the entire meal. he wouldn't stop, wouldn't give up and pretty much had to be asked to... read more

Being the Carnivore that I am, my awesome wife took me (unexpectedly) to Chima and it was a meat lovers holiday! We got off to a rocky start as we waited 30 minutes past our reservation time. However, they surpassed this inconvenience in GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE AND DELICIOUS/SCRUMPTIOUS FOOD!!! My family and I were treated like visiting dignitaries. Special standouts... More

This restaurant is located in the downtown(uptown) of Charlotte North Carolina. The restaurant facility itself is a beautiful space that is well maintained and exceptionally clean. Upon entering we (my wife and I) were warmly greeted and seated almost immediately. We ate there at 1815 on a Sunday evening. My wife ordered a Bloody Mary that she says was mixed... More

Great for meat lovers! Great salad bar and pretty view. Sides boring - don't waste calories on them :)

I came here during restaurant week. I have been to a few other Brazilian steakhouses and I was underwhelmed by Chima. The meat was pretty bland and not nearly as tender as I would have expected. They did a decent job of showing up at the table, but frankly it was not that appetizing. I am a carnivore to the... More

Just average. Sirloin was good, but I've had better. Other meats just okay. Salad bar was just okay. Environment was nice. The sides they bring to your table are so small. We had 4 adults in our party and were brought super small portions of the sides. Like a tablespoon of mashed potatoes per person, 2 small portions of fried... More

The upstairs bar was a good gathering spot for our large group and offered an interesting selection of Brazilian beers. The salad bar was average and the selection of meats good but not great. It seemed we were always waiting for more lamb. Monday was half priced wine which was a good deal. A nice night out but I have... More

My bestfriend and I came to Chima for Charlotte Restaurant week. Which meant instead of sending $100 for two people we paid a little over $60 for two people. If you wanted the full experience which included few extra meats like salmon and a desert it was $59.95 per person. So we stuck with the $35 option for restaurant week.... More

We visiting the restaurant as part of the Restaurant Week experience. The place is well-appointed, large, multi-level, packed and noisy and frenetic with activity. It is a challenge to carry on a conversation, but if you're there to eat ... They have a large self-service salad bar with an outstanding array of choices, all very well prepared. This is followed... Meat was overcooked and very dry. Requested lesser cooked meat several times and never delivered. Asked for meats we had not received we were supposed to get and finally got them at end of meal. Worst meat I have ever eaten. Salad bar was average. Side dishes were terrible. Mashed potatoes were like soup.
