Always great and pleasant

We always eat at the bar when we dine at B54 and it's always great friendly service. Great, cold cocktails. Wonderful menu. This time I started with the calamari which are fried just right with a nice dipping sauce, and continued with the beef short rib which was very tender. Always a nice vine and... read more

I had one of the best meals ever last night with my wife and daughter at Bin 54 in Chapel Hill. The restaurant came highly recommended so I had high expectations. I can say the food, wine, dessert, service and atmosphere far exceeded my (closet chef), foodie standards. Alexis, our waitress guided us through so many fresh seafood choices followed... More

I get the same thing every time I go, so I'm due to try something new. But the filet, the haricots verts, and the red wine is terrific every time. The service is top notch. It is pricey though.

We dined here some time ago, but it deserves a review. They, along with Ruth's Chris, are one of the best steakhouses we have ever been to. The dried aged New York and the porterhouse were cooked to perfection. The atmosphere is quaint and romantic here, and the servers are very attentive to detail. Nice wine selection, too. 5 stars.

One of the best steaks that I have ever eaten. Always consistent. Love sitting at the bar, they have terrific bartenders and great drinks. The French 75 is my favorite. Love the bread and the appetizers are a delight. Lobster gnocchi and calamari are terrific. Wish they would put the goat cheese beef sliders back on the appetizer menu.

I've been dining here since they opened several years ago. Business meals, large private groups, intimate special occasion meals...and have always had great food, service and not felt like I was gouged with the tab. Nice bar (even great to eat there) and intimate dining room...but the best place to eat is in their wine cellar with a few friends.... More

Was here this past Friday night. The place was busy but not overly so. We went with high expectations based on feedback from two other couples. Wife and I shared a salad which was really good (and would have been a large salad for one person). We also shared the bone in ribeye steak which was prepared well but a... More

The steaks were of good quality and flavor but $32 for six small bites of steak is pretty darn steep for Chapel Hill. This is particularly true since that price included nothing other than a dinner roll and water. Those few bites of steak looked pretty darn lonely on that big empty plate. If you go, suggest you have a... More

This was my second visit to Bin 54 in the past 6 months, the first for a date, the second for a group outing for 5. Dinner was delicious; appetizers were creative though we did have to order multiple to share with the group. Entrees were spectacular and cooked to perfection, everyone at the table was more than pleased. Though... More

Last time, I wondered why I didn't come to this restaurant more often. This time, I now know it's the best in the city. Service is impeccable. Food is creative, solid and yet consistent. The decore of the restaurant is wonderful. The management is outstanding. All in all worth every penny, even if expensive.
