Decent Food

The dinner was at best sufficient for the price. The food was definitely above average, but the restaurant holds itself out as well above average. With the cost of the food and drinks, I would expect a food that is a little more savory and more creativity in the kitchen. Not bad, but nothing to... read more

Be ready to savor steaks cooked to perfection and service from Bin 54's staff that is informed, friendly, and anticipatory. The contemporary style dining setting offers an extensive wine list and full offering of steaks in various sizes. Side dishes of Brussels sprouts and mushrooms, for example, are a la carte. Sauces from blue cheese to horse radish, your choice,... More

We recently went to Bin 54 Restaurant in Chapel Hill, NC and had an amazing dinner. Everything on the menu was so enticing, I had a hard time choosing. We started out with the House Cured NC Cheshire Bacon with balsamic-molasses reduction and also the Caramelized Sea Scallops. Both were fabulous! For dinner, we chose the filet and had the... More

This one of the best steak houses I have ever been to. Everything on the menu is great and you can't go wrong here.

We had graduates from Duke and UNC to celebrate and were delighted with their special cocktails of the evening. Wait staff attended to our every need. Each course was sublime. Once you enter their doors, you are transported to culinary heaven. Do not let their location in a strip mall deter you. It made for a spectacular celebration dinner for... More

Every time I'm in Chapel Hill i enjoy a fantastic dinner and great service at Bin 54. Last week my colleagues and I dined at the bar and worked our way around Bin's nicely balanced wine list. If you like wagyu beef, Bin 54 doesn't disappoint in preparation, flavor and portion size. After five or six dinners over the last... More

I probably am in the top 5 or top 2 all time visitors to this steak house. Eat there at least 15 times or more per year. It is a favorite of all of our traveling financial institution guests, whether Wall STreet firms, or Boston, or elsewhere. Many eat at competitors all the time, including Ruth's Chris, Flemings and Morton's.... More

This is a nice restaurant, along the lines of a Ruth's Chris, but not as good IMO. The service was friendly but a wee bit slow. Food was good, but not good enough for the price...as I haven't been back since.

Bin 54 has a beautiful, upscale atmosphere without being stuffy. The staff is friendly and very knowledgeable about the extensive wine list and menu. The scallop appetizer was delicious! Our steaks were cooked to perfection and came with a choice of "condiment" to compliment the taste. I had Blue Cheese Butter. The cool, savory taste with a medium rare filet... More

Our daughter booked an early dinner for approximately 20 family members and friends which took place on their outdoor veranda. Very enjoyable atmosphere, excellent service and an outstanding meal. Thank you Bin 54!
