While visiting Durham, NC, we heard about a local vegetarian cafe. This is a small restaurant nestled in a shopping center, so it takes a couple of extra minutes to locate. As the waitress, explained, the restaurant is owned by a Persian family and the menu reflects this cultural background: hummus, soups and entrees of Persian origin, delicious bread,..... My... More

This is a quaint little place in the Timberlyne Shopping Center. The seating is very limited, and the tables are tiny. Our party of nine (with reservations) was squeezed into a space with one person still dining on a corner of a table. Great for coffee or tea and a snack, but not for dinner. Perhaps with success, they will... More

I had high hopes for this restaurant after I read all the good comments. The food is not Persian at all. I ordered Cutlet and what I got was disgusting! I even asked for the recipe before ordering to be sure what I'd get. I couldn't even convince myself to take the second bite. Terrible texture and very bland! It... More

I love going to Sage. It's a bit small, so it might be a little crowded, but the food is always great. I've tried most of the menu and I haven't been disappointed once. The service is very good, and the prices are reasonable. I definitely recommend checking out Sage if you are looking for the best food in the... More

This was a stumble upon restaurant. I was just looking for lunch after 3 hours of driving and planned on something else nearby. Immediately upon seeing a vegetarian cafe with a trip advisor notice I knew it was a winner. it was a bit pricey but not for that area. the creamy dill sauce with the cute salad cup was... More

My wife and I had lunch here recently. We were served by a well -mannered but somewhat clueless waitperson. My iced chai latte (ordered from the cold beverage section of the menu), came steaming hot in a mug. My Caprese grilled baguette was fine, except there were no tomatoes in it....sort of strange, given the customary composition of this dish.... More

Sage is a nice little cafe located in a shopping center outside of downtown Chapel Hill. Eggplant, Legumes, and cinnamon are three of my favorite things to eat. I had the Bud-m-Joon, otherwise know as the "Eggplant Paradise". The name fits the bill. I couldn't get enough of this dish. Wife had Vegetable Kabobs that she shared with me. Beautiful... More

The plate broke when it accidentally got pushed off the table by our two year old grandson. The staff was very accomodating when it happened. This is a favorite of our daughter. Her husband was away on business, and she wanted to take us to one of their favorite places. We enjoy other cuisines very much, as a change from... More

Every time I've been in this restaurant the service has been horrible. I've gotten wrong orders on several instances where I did takeout. I've gotten wrong orders in the restaurant, I've had to almost beg the wait staff for refills on drinks, etc. The food is not bad, but the service is so bad its not worth the hassle to... More

To me, an uncomfortably small restaurant in an unattractive shopping center in North Chapel Hill. The lighting and decor inside was dark and depressing and certainly didn't match the funk music played over the restaurants speakers (where's the dance-floor??). Our waitress was Asian, spoke broken English and came off pushy, and at times rude. All that being stated, the food... More
