Everything about our meals tonight was just perfect! All three of us selected the Prix Fix menu and orders different entrées. Our meals were incredible and the service was top notch. This is by far the best service and food I have had on Franklin Street. The cream brûlée is a must and I also recommend the wine pairing!

Everything was perfect. I had requested one of two window tables and we got it. I had told them it was my birthday when I made the reservation. The menu said "Happy birthday, Gail" on top. The waiter was very competent and attentive. Great meal for both!

I never reviewed this restaurant last month. Last months dinner was terrific. Our server was great. The salmon we both had was fantastic. As we are moving here we ate early after a long day . There was a pre set menu which was terrific. Today, our meal was excellent....but our server never told us about the pre set menu.... More

We had been to Elaine's a number of times previously and enjoyed it thoroughly. This time, not so much. The appetizer was quite delicious. But then there was a really long wait for our main courses -- had to do with us being behind a party of ten in the queue apparently. When the main courses finally arrived, they were... More

Elaine's is a Chapel Hill institution and for good reason - it's great. We went there years ago and had a wonderful experience but for some reason stayed away for a long time as we explored other places in the area. Fortunately we decided to return a few months ago and was just as good as I had remembered. Everything... More

Ate at Elaine's mid-week for dinner while visiting UNC. We were able to enjoy their pre-fixe menu. Many of the items available were on their usual dinner menu as well. Everything was wonderful. My sister enjoyed the pre-fixe with wine pairing - she loved all of the wines offered. Our server was very attentive and met all of our needs.... More

This is a great place to celebrate special occasions. The wait staff give good advice on wine pairings. You really need to book or be prepared to squeeze into the small bar area and wait for a vacant table.

Expensive - but Actually worth it! Food is always perfect - fresh, delicious and beautiful. Service is excellent. You will need to make a reservation - the venue is small - 60 people? but not crowded or overly noisy.
