One of the Best in The Hill

One of our regular "go-tos". Inventive southern cuisine If you are a fois gras fan you have to get the BLT. Sauces are always perfection and the cocktails aren't bad either.

Well at these prices students can't go by themselves. It's the haut cuisine of CH with white linens and excellent service. And virtually every table is a parent and student

Fun prix fixe menu w/ wine pairings. Wait staff were very attentive. Yummy bread to start and complimentary cream of mushroom soup was well flavored. I had the tuna, which was good with the exception of some "stringiness" to it (not sure why). For dessert we had the flan which was good and the chocolate cake which was excellent.

Both of us had the cheese & baked phyllo napoleon with wild mushrooms, spinach, pine nuts & balsamic syrup, and a green salad. We were there during the week, 5:30 to 6:30, for the Prix Fixe menu which is outstanding and only $35 per person. Dessert is included, but wine and coffee/tea are extra. Service was attentive, thanks to Jered.... More

We had dinner at Elaine's this past Saturday. The restaurant is small and was packed. We had a starter of a cold avocado and green tomato soup. A plate of different types of fresh varieties of tomato. The bread was house made garlic focaccia. My husband had the beef in tomato and I had the tortilla crusted salmon .The food... More

I am sad to say I didn't visit Elaine's during my two years in grad school until graduation weekend. If you are browsing for a "relaxed" fine dining restaurant, this is your place. This is a wonderful restaurant with original flavorful dishes and a great drink selection.

My wife took me out for my birthday here. I always wanted to try this as this place has been a staple here for many years. We were one of the first to be seated as this place opens at 530 pm. Have an option for the early birds from the first hour for a 3 course meal for $35.... More

Enjoyed a wonderful birthday dinner at Elaine's. The staff made every effort to make us feel special - nice touch with the menu! The meal was excellent! Wonderful duck and local Tomato plate. The drink menu complimented everything perfectly. Noise level was lively, and although there wasn't many private tables, it was a lovely space overall. It felt like a... More

Our reservation was at 6:00PM so we were able to order the $35 fixed price menu. Everything we ordered was so good, and our window table made it easy to talk. A great meal, with great service.

Just happened to get lucky and visited Elaine's on Franklin during food week, so I had the food and wine pairing meal. We were staying at the Carolina Inn and wanted a place within walking distance. It is a lovely walk from the Inn to Elaine's - just about 10 minutes. The service was very friendly, the prices were very... More
