Good meal

This was our second visit to Jujube. The food is delicious but honestly this visit wasn't as enjoyable. We felt rushed as the entree came immediately after the appetizer plates were cleared. There's nothing more disappointing unless you are in a rush! The food is delicious with a great selection... read more

Haven't been here for years and regret not having been back sooner. I went with my daughter and had a great Asian themed meal. We started by sharing Ha Gow, shrimp dumplings. Excellent dumplings, both the shrimp filling and the rice noodle shell, some of the best I've had, but not exactly a bargain at $7 for 3. For my... More

We love Jujube and eat there often. But since their new restaurant opened in Durham, things don't seem the same. Tonight's dinner celebrating my wife's birthday was disappointing. Plates were served one at a time, dishes were not hot, service was rude. Worse, management seems not to care. The food remains delicious, but good food without proper service, a caring... More

If you are in chapel hill and looking for the best steak in town, skip bin 54 and head to jujube..(one door down). To be frank, I dream about the lemongrass hanger steak. Peanut sauce, refreshing cucumbers, a side of complimentary rice! It may well be the best meal I have ever had. You can't go wrong with pork belly... More

I love the screened, covered outdoor patio - this is the nicest restaurant in Chapel Hill that is dog-friendly. Everything I've had here is good, but the hanger steak is my favorite.

We had a great dinner at Jujube which has an interesting mix of Asian fusion foods as well a great menu with healthy salads and unusual appetizers. We started with a kale salad, Sweet potato fritters and beef wontons and we were pleased at how yummy everything tasted. We also liked the fact that you could eat and watch the... More

We visited here for dinner before a play. It was the first visit since the renovation. The new design is very nice with an open kitchen and a different entrance. Wednesday was half price dumplings so we had 4 types. The roast pork belly was the best with the shrimp coming in second. The duck dumplings were too spicy for... More

Jujube has been one of my favorite restaurants since it opened. The atmosphere is pleasing, the outdoor seating is wonderful, the Asian fusion food is always good and they are always creating new things to keep your interest while keeping your favorites in place. The kale salad is a favorite of mine as are the shrimp noodles (a little like... More

Jujube is our favorite Asian fusion restaurant in Chapel Hill. They are unfortunately closed for renovation at the moment (January 2015) but we're counting the days until they reopen. Their cocktails are fun and inventive; try the Love Child or Little Red Corvette or anything else the reliable bartender recommends. Most of the appetizers are superb but our favorites are... More

I have been here probably 15 times for lunch or dinner over the last 8 years and the food here is always good, often creative, and sometimes absolutely sublime. I have also been for a couple of special event dinners which were fun and enjoyable, if a bit pricey. I absolutely don't agree with the reviewer that said this was... More
