Lovely evening..

Staff are fabulous and Julian was welcoming was always. Jujube caters (ask for the separate menu) to special dietary needs, I.e. gluten free, vegan, but allergies etc. This menu identifies which main menu items would be appropriate for your needs. Good ambience, friendly, capable service and creative cuisine are all features of our two most recent dining experiences at Jujbe. Hubby had the hanger steak both times (a good sign), while I indulged in duck the first time and succulent scallops with a delicious mushroom side that was on their specials menu the second time. We started with vietnamese veg rolls... More

Drink menu is smart with creative inspiration on both classic craft cocktails and fun fusion-y themes, it seems. Quite nice sake list is a plus, deep beer selection, and almost everything on the wine list looks well curated, appealing and range-y. Staff seem considerate and nice, tho could be quicker on getting my next drink order, ha. The cuisine? Nice... More

We have frequented JuJu in Durham and wanted to try the original. We were not disappointed. Large entree choices were a pleasant surprise. Service and food was excellent.

Asian fusion which means many of the dishes are sweet. Limited menu. Full bar. Soups were fine. Dumplings tasty. Steak was well cooked. My ribs were meaty but bland. Asian coleslaw tasteless. Service fine. All in all good but not great.

This is great place to meet friends and bring guests visiting from out of town. All dishes are delicious - probably classified as Asian Fusion. Eating outside on the patio in warm weather is especially nice. Don't let the location in a small strip shopping center put you off - the quality of this delightful restaurant is more than pleasantly... More

Consistently good food and wait staff. Great appetizers and salads and also have quite a few vegetarian entrees on the menu.

Great effort to present interesting food. "Asian fusion" is confusing to me since gluten free noodles are not part of an Asian lexicon. Maybe this is the hallmark of trendy for it's regular clientele. However, I did see an amazing whole fish fly by to another diner which looked like it had more spunk than my pork and noodles. The... I have been coming to Jujube for years.. They have recently improved everything about the restaurant. The decor is charming for dates, perfect lighting and quaint atmosphere. I must say, the food blows most of it's competition out of the water. The combinations of flavors are unorthodox, inauthentic, and full of surprises.. Quite honestly, there is no place like this... Our first visit to Jujube was for a chenin blanc winetasting, and we were impressed with the creativity and quality of the food. We went back for dinner a deux, and were extremely disappointed. Service was very slow and we had to ask someone else about items on the menu. We had three "small plates": cha gio - Vietnamese pork/shrimp/mushroom... More
