This restaurant was recommended to me by a current UNC-CH student. I dined here with my family and was not disappointed. I ordered the club sandwich, fries and the house salad. The club sandwich was excellent. The amount of fries was very generous. The salad was good. My family was pleased with all their selections. The college town atmosphere was... More

Overall I was very happy. Quick food despite being packed, service was great, everyone was personable, and the food tasted great. Awesome selection of beers on tap. Be forewarned, this place gets a massive college crowd.

In Chapel Hill for the weekend, I stopped into Spanky's twice for a light lunch. On both occasions I was greeted warmly, and the staff could not have been more friendly. A good selection of local NC brews on tap, along with the familiar brands. The beef chili was flavorful with just enough heat to make it interesting. The Buffalo... More

Traveling alone on business I stopped into Spanky’s. The place is a pleasant, college town restaurant and bar. I sat at the bar and the bartender was very pleasant and took the time to explain several of the items on the menu. On her recommendations I ordered the ribs. They were wonderful. Fell off he bone, sweat with Carolina tangy... More

A group of us were attending a week-long course at the UNC - Kenan-Flagler Business School and opted for dinner our first night in town at Spanky's. Spanky's is located right at the intersection of Franklin and Columbia, and must be something of a local landmark. We dined on a Monday night, and the restaurant was busy, but we were... More

skip topo and go to spankys - you can sit upstairs and have great food. The prices are very reasonable and it is my go to basic meal when people come in town. Amazing salads.

All you need to know is shrimp n grits and a great beer selection. My buddies and I were visiting team fans and we enjoyed the food. Too bad it was after midnight after the game, or we would have doubled up on Shrimp n grits!!!!

My family and I went their for lunch. Service was excellent. It appeared staffed by friendly, cute UNC students. We all enjoyed our meal, which consisted mainly of stylish modern pub type entrees, which a decent amount of vegetarian options.
