Took a friend to lunch last week - very disappointed. We both ordered the vegetable stir fry with rice noodles. The dish had few vegetables and the noodles were a lump of glue. Staff were friendly but food was disappointing.

Saw some negative reviews and was surprised. We found the place clean, the staff friendly and attentive, and the food very nice. The summer rolls were delicious and the Pho did not disappoint, Price was what we expected for the area (chapel hill). The place was about half anglos and half asians - that seems like a good sign -... More

When this place first opened, I had high hopes. As a lifelong resident of Chapel Hill, I was excited about a new Vietnamese place. But after eating there a few times, I noticed it was dirty, the wait people looked busy but I think they were confused and smiling about it. I heard that management changed hands, from mother to... Bland food overall. Ordered stirfried noodles and veggies... which meant that I received a plate of rice noodles with veggies and soy sauce on the side. Yet it's packed on any given night. If you like and know Vietnamese food (or any Asian cuisine for that matter), please skip Lime and Basil.

Daughter's favorite noodle place in Chapel Hill. Pho was phabulous! Full of chicken and plenty of add in's like: lime, basil and sprouts. Tofu Pho also very good. Really nice fish stir fry too. Large menu.

Eating on Franklin street can sometimes be either very overpriced or fast food. This restaurant was a good balance. It's not large or attractive inside, but the prices are reasonable and the dishes are plenty big. I have been twice. I ordered the stir fry, which was okay, the first time. I ordered the fried rice and tasted the pho... More

Not much to say really. - Fried spring rolls were bland, dipping sauce was no better. - Decent pho but definitely not special. - Tasteless bubble tea. My entire family threw our cups away after 1-2 sips. How can you mess up bubble tea? - Slow service. Not enough wait staff when the place fills up. We won't be back.

Most of our family likes this restaurant. My very favorite were the Summer Rolls with Shrimp, they are delicious. Most of us ordered the Pho. I ordered the Pho because my children did. I had no idea what Pho was until it arrived to the table. Pho = soup/stew. The second time we went, I ordered the Spring Rolls again... More

We visit this restaurant about every other month. The pho is excellent. The restaurant is set up in such a way you queue, eat and leave very quickly. It certainly is not a romantic setting but if you want some comforting food served simply this is the place.

I've been on the hunt for a good place to get a specific Vietnamese dish since moving here, and I finally found it at a restaurant that does it well! Lime and Basil is a smallish ,restaurant with a lean staff, but everyone is very friendly and helpful. They have a great menu and their Saigon Street Noodles are phenomenal,... More
