First time here...Not bad.

The beef pho was pretty good here. Great service, great mango bubble tea. Only problem was that the place was COLD. It was freezing outside and the frequent opening and closing of the front door in this small high turnover place made it uncomfortably cold. We'll wait to return on a warmer day. This... read more

We are huge Pho fans and look for the best places every town/city we visit (we travel a lot). Lime and Basil is delicious and since our son attends grad school here, we are in Chapel Hill frequently. We always treat our son and his friends to dinner here - it is incredible and so reasonable! It is hard to... More

The previous time I ordered take away. This time I am able to dine in. I ordered a plate of fresh rolls and a bowl of pho + eyeround + meatball. The fresh rolls were very good. Can taste the fresh shrimps and chicken. The pho bowl looked huge and the meat servings seemed generous. Big letdown though - the... More

The restaurant is somewhat small, but still well decorated. There may be issues with crowding, but if you go when the surrounding colleges go on break, it isn't a problem. I had pho, but there were tons of other options to choose from, including vegetarian. The pho was delicious, and the hot soup is amazing on a cold winter day.... More

Excellent food and selection. The service is also very friendly and responsive. Will definitely go again. Good vegetarian options as well.

What more can you ask of a small town restaurant. They do great Vietnamese food with friendly, fast service. The Pho beef was cooked to perfection. The appetizers were excellent. We will definitely return to try more dishes when we're in town.

Everything was fresh and flavorful! I salivated over every dish served to us as well as surrounding tables. The price point is ridiculously low and the service is swift and friendly. The atmosphere is casual, so anything goes as far as attire. I really enjoyed this restaurant and will definitely return!

My husband and I come to Lime and Basil almost every time we're in Chapel Hill, and the restaurant is frequently filled with Vietnamese and other Asian students - so I guess they're doing something right. The summer rolls are very good, but the pho is where it's at. Order it with an extra side of noodles and it's perfect.... More

We've been going here for a couple of years now. We've always had friendly wait staff & they don't seem to have a lot of staffing turnover which says something. The atmosphere is very college town (upbeat, busy, fairly noisy, etc.), but it's a great little place to stop in for a fresh, healthy meal. The food is always wonderful,... More

Went alone for dinner. Strangely the staff thought I wanted a take-out and gave me my dinner all packed up! Fortunately I did not have any problems doing a take-out instead. Other than this incident, my order of pho (beef noodles) and cold spring rolls were good. I think the food contains msg - I felt thirsty after the meal.
