Tiny joint that's drive thru only. Never had their biscuits but have ALWAYS shot in one of their cinnamon rolls which are hot and sticky and absolutely WONDERFUL!

If you want a marvelously wonderful chicken or sausage biscuit Sunrise is your stop. Yes, this is a drive through kitchen that offers yummy selections on an old fashion board. The lines are frequently down the street but there is a reason for such. DELICIOUS!!!!

This is the second of a two restaurant mini-chain that began in Louisburg, NC in 1978 -there are some other biscuit restaurants with Sunrise in their name, but the one here is only associated with the one in Louisburg (website - sunrisebiscuits.com) The menus are, of course, very similar, as is the operation in general - the one in Louisburg... A staple in Chapel Hill and featured on many shows!! Now that I have moved back to CH, I have to stay away, I could eat their biscuits every day! Great biscuits, with egg, sausage, bacon. Not for calorie conscious. Coffee could use a step up in quality. Drive thru only.

Got two chicken biscuits, which are bigger than average, and 2 cups of coffee for $12. And they were delicious!

The cinnamon rolls are the best anywhere. Thick, heavy, buttery, sugary and delicious . Get 2 and extend the treat. The cost is appropriate. I have been eating them for 30 years. Same location same great taste, get there early, they do tend to run out of these little pieces of the "Southern side of Heaven"

Delicious. Such good, slightly crumbly, buttery biscuits with your choice of insides. I get mine with egg, cheese, and tomato. Husband gets his with sausage, egg and cheese. You'll wait in the drive through line on a Saturday or Sunday morning for a little bit, but it's worth every minute. Seriously. Go here.

It is very good and very popular. As seen in the movie Bad Grandpa. This completes one's trip to UNC. Be prepared for a wait, especially on Sunday morning, but worth every minute.
