Fantastic, quick breakfast!

I LOVE Sunrise! Be prepared for a bit of a wait but it's worth it! My favorite is the Country Ham and Egg Biscuit. Their tea is great too! You do have the option of parking and going inside to order. They only allow three customers inside at a time so if there are already three in there you wait... read more

We hit this place at least once per week after the kid's morning swim workouts. It's a small operation with a limited line for window service. If you see the cars backed-up on Franklin, swing into the lot and try the walk-in service. Just know there are limits to the number of people who can be in the store at... More

I've been going to sunrise my whole life. Their chicken biscuits are the best. Thanks, sunrise. I've never had a better biscuit

This is my favorite decadent breakfast indulgence - the chicken biscuit and cinnamon rolls are the best way to start a lazy weekend morning. Worth the wait any day of the week!

Love a casual drive thru that's not a chain establishment. The line was only about 8 cars long on a Sunday morning. It was worth the wait. I had a Chicken, cheese and egg biscuit and a cinnamon roll, just to check it out. If you like sweet tea, you will love it here. There are a couple picnic tables in... More

There is a reason for the long line of cars waiting to get in... it's the people who *always* go to Sunrise Biscuit Kitchen when they are in Chapel Hill, for whatever reason (yes, graduation is one of the better reasons). They are good biscuits, down-home cooking, and why would you want more than that? (Having someone say 'enjoy your... More

With the large line of cars waiting on the road to turn into this Chapel Hill institution, I was excited to take my first bite of chicken biscuit. Sadly, the chicken was just not right....the coating was soggy and the chicken just smelled funny.

There seems to be a long car line at this place (it is only takeout) on weekend mornings, so I dropped by one day when the line was shorter. I LOVE biscuits (grew up as a southerner) and was dying to see how this stacked up. I got a sausage egg and cheese biscuit and hashbrowns. The hashbrowns were the... More

My daughter is a student at UNC and eating at Sunrise was on her UNC bucket list. We both ordered the chicken biscuit on the recommendation of the worker. The chicken was huge, as was the biscuit - we should have just split one. Biscuit was dense and flaky and the chicken was yummy!

This is a small eatery that is strictly a drive thru and well worth the visit. The large biscuits are the best I have eaten and believe me I have eaten a lot of biscuits. The offerings of eggs bacon chicken and many more are of top quality and the taste is really worth the price. Do yourself a favor... More
