I have been to Top of the Hill too many times to count. When I want a good meal off campus in a convenient location, Top of the Hill is where I go. I prefer to eat outside when the weather is sunny and warm. However inside eating is also pleasant. The menu continues to have the same favorites. This... More

I attended an executive education course at UNC and we had a tour of the UNC campus, which was beautiful, followed by a social at Top of the Hill. The finger food was good and the menu had plenty of variety. Their specialty brews were tasty, my favorite was the blueberry ale on tap. If you visit the area, put... More

My wife and I so want to have this be a favorite spot. The atmosphere is great, with terrific views overlooking town and a huge outdoor patio. The food is good with many options. Sadly, what always disappoints us is the wait staff. Aside from the bartenders, waiters and waitresses are slow and always have an attitude. It's the Achilles... More

Ate at Top of the Hill while on a business trip. Sat on the deck. The ambiance was wonderful, and it was a relaxing meal. Would definitely go back!

Great place to meet your UNC student for a late afternoon lunch! Menu offerings were impressive along with the wide selection of micro brewed beers(including their own brews)....they even had one of our home state favorites....Maine blueberry beer! We will be back next time we're visiting!

We went here after a long days travel, the food was FANTASTIC, we expected the usual 'pub' fare and were delighted with the menu! We wanted to eat outside and did not have to wait for a outside seat as we were offered a 'high top', which was not under cover, but early evening it was perfect. The street musicians... More

On my last visit to CH, I attempted to make reservations here but they were all booked. I planned ahead this trip. Food was good but not anything to write home about. But the weirdest part of the meal was the 80s soundtrack. I'm from the 80s, went to the prom in 84, 85, and 86 - and danced to... More

Fun vibe, varied menu with something for everyone, and delicious food. Each of us got something totally different than the other, and we all loved our meals--even the pickiest eater in the family. We don't know the town and went on TripAdvisor reviews alone, and we made the perfect choice. UNC is right around the corner, so Top of the... More

I had great expectations from this little restaurant in Chapel Hill as many of my friends said it was great. It was a weekday and a little hectic. We sat on the balcony. I had a salad with goat cheese, pecans and chicken. It was ok but nothing special. My friend had a Mac and cheese chicken dish that looked... More
