We were here two consecutive nights on graduation week-end. The dress ranged from casual to freshly minted graduates in their suits and fancy dresses. It all worked well. Though very busy both nights the brews and food were excellent and the service was outstanding. We found the place relaxing and great fun.

A "must" stop for anyone in Durham or Chapel Hill. Fun atmosphere, good beer selection, average food though. Good place for a small group to hang out and have fun.

I was excited to try out Top of the Hill both because of the potentially awesome view and because of the craft brews. Well, the beer was sub-par and the view OK; the atmosphere was alright, it was fun to be outside, the staff were average, but the view was... just... OK. Perhaps my expectations were too high. I got... More

Our lunch here was very nice! The atmosphere is very pleasant and if it is a nice day (it wasn't for us), you can dine outside. The server was very attentive and constantly made sure our beverages were refilled. Our burgers were very good and we were pleased. The appetizer of fried pickles was also tasty. Our son had the... Food is good, but the atmosphere is great. Sit outside and overlook Chapel Hill! They have good lunch specials and they make their own beer. The TVs are on, so you can catch the game.

Love this restaurant right in the heart of Franklin Street by UNC. Brewery produces mighty fine beers and the food is delicious. Views of Franklin are great and in good weather, there's outdoor seating. Many parents of students add a nice mix of patron's ages. Highly recommend!

The Shrimp and Grits were just right and the freshed brewed beers were well worth telling others about. Yes I will return for more...

Been to this place numerous times. Pretty predictable; however this time there were a few things unrelated to the food that I didn’t like. When we appeared for our reservation for 18:30, we were immediately asked if we would finish by 20:00. So before we even sat down we were being asked to hurry up, eat and leave. Since we... More

We brought our friends from Europe here last summer. They enjoyed the view and the ambiance but the food was very average. Wish they served omething like chicken roasting on spits, unusual sandwiches, etc. - somehting other than bland hamburgers. Our friends suggested that they have a color theme, e.g. blue and white umbrellas and blue and white tablecloths or... More

In town with teenagers for a college visit, we decided to watch a UNC game at Top of the Hill. School spirit was rampant and it was a great time. Food was ok. Sit on the terrace if weather permits.
