Just alright, very loud once few people arrive. Food portions large enough, customer service adequate and friendly, but

I went with my son on the Saturday night before UNC classes start. The location is great. The ambiance is superb. The place was absolutely hopping with students excited to be back from the summer. So much for the good. The food was dreadful. My sons steak tacos were pathetic--skimpy and dry. My poblano enchiladas, a special, had a minimal... More

What a fine surprise to find this excellent Mexican restaurant ! Most patrons sat outside but we were in and it was fine- One of us had Mexican pizza and one had s Super Burrito- both were outstanding - We have tried 3 here- this is best-

Big portions and a large menu make this one of my favorite Chapel Hill Mexican restaurants. Definitely not a fine dining experience but we often make a point to take friends here for a casual night out.

Los Potrillos is in an unimposing building with a small outdoor seating section. There was the standard menu you would find in most Mexican restaurants, so it would be hard to give it a top rating. I did find the flavor of the salsa and fajitas to be a bit different than the standard fare, and I liked the difference.

Took the family to Los Potrillos in Chapel Hill as a welcome home dinner for daughter home from college for summer. It was a somewhat busy Thurday evening with students finishing exams meeting friends for drinks and food both there and at nearby bar. Did not have to wait for table and were waited upon attentively by staff. All of... More

Los Potrillos is standard Mexican cuisine. The food is good, but you've had it all before. Nothing unique here. The outdoor dining area is small - about 6 tables, but the tables are large allowing for the seating of larger groups or simply lots of room to spread out while you eat. The Margaritas are better than your average Mexican... More

Went for lunch because I had a "buy one, get one free" coupon on entrees. I have been happier with Monterey, Fiesta Grill, Armadillo Grill, and Torreros for Mexican.

We have always liked Los Pos, as the locals say it. Our last meal was great... Los Pot fajitas. Service is good, staff is friendly. But we ordered the Sangria and were VERY disappointed. We paid almost 15 dollars for a pitcher of juice. Don't bother. And parking can be very difficult since the lot has only about 6 spaces.
