When you walk through the shadowed glass doors of Talulla's, an instant transformation begins to occur. Your mind and body begin to relax. Your ears pick up on the eclectic mix of music. Your eyes wonder around the walls, decorated in Turkish rugs; then the ceilings, scattered with warm, unique lighting pieces; then the floors... the dark, hardwood floors; and finally, across the plush seating areas, disguised by cushions and pillows and fabric leisurely draped around the frames.

What a nice alternative in Chapel Hill! Authentic Turkish dishes and Turkish wine - well prepared and delicious.

Perfect service and creative, beautifully presented cuisine. The interior of the restaurant is nothing fancy, but impeccably clean and authentically decorated. There were several tables that even had curtains for privacy! Great variety of dishes, and the food was fresh and delicious. My lamb was buttery and tender, accompanied by vegetables that framed it just like the masterpiece that it... More

The menu was interesting and our server was very good. We were going to dine outside, on the sidewalk. Just as our food arrived, the clouds burst open and our server saved both us and the food from getting drenched. The décor is Turkish, I would say, with carpets on the wall and interesting nooks and crannies. There is a... More

Very high quality Turkish food - favorites include the guvec and lamb shank; the dipping sauce for bread is excellent, and the wine choices more than adequate. Waitstaff are friendly and helpful. It's a go-back-soon, for me.

Talulla's is in a historic building on Franklin Street, in the heart of Chapel Hill. They offer Turkish food and this newbie loved it! It was slow-going at first with our waiter as he forgot to bring our drinks and seemed a bit out of it, but he made up for it by bringing one of their upside down desserts... More

Food was excellent and the wait staff was very attentive. The tables and chairs were a little battered but I would assume they are this way for character. Extensive menu to chose from. This was our first visit and if we get back to Chapel Hill we will go back there.

Don't get me wrong. The first visit was very, very good but we went back and the meal was even better than the first time. We started with the house red pepper with vinegar dipping sauce and bread and added the cold smoked eggplant appetizer. The Patlıcan Ezmesi was outstanding! My husband had the Balık Böreği (talapia) and my daughter... More

What a surprise in Chapel Hill. Genuine Turkish food. Takes me back to places in Turkey. And a very good assortment of choices. We usually get three cold or hot starters and a main course to make our own mezze. Been there several times and was impressed each time. Our last time we had the fried zucchini, cold eggplant stuffed... More

This is a great restaurant for a family or group. We sat outside and enjoyed the street scene. Food was delicious. Love the dip they give you at the beginning with the bread too.
