When you walk through the shadowed glass doors of Talulla's, an instant transformation begins to occur. Your mind and body begin to relax. Your ears pick up on the eclectic mix of music. Your eyes wonder around the walls, decorated in Turkish rugs; then the ceilings, scattered with warm, unique lighting pieces; then the floors... the dark, hardwood floors; and finally, across the plush seating areas, disguised by cushions and pillows and fabric leisurely draped around the frames.

If you don't like Talulla's, don't go to Turkey.

Very high quality Turkish food - favorites include the guvec and lamb shank; the dipping sauce for bread is excellent, and the wine choices more than adequate. Waitstaff are friendly and helpful. It's a go-back-soon, for me.

Talulla's is in a historic building on Franklin Street, in the heart of Chapel Hill. They offer Turkish food and this newbie loved it! It was slow-going at first with our waiter as he forgot to bring our drinks and seemed a bit out of it, but he made up for it by bringing one of their upside down desserts... More

Food was excellent and the wait staff was very attentive. The tables and chairs were a little battered but I would assume they are this way for character. Extensive menu to chose from. This was our first visit and if we get back to Chapel Hill we will go back there.

Don't get me wrong. The first visit was very, very good but we went back and the meal was even better than the first time. We started with the house red pepper with vinegar dipping sauce and bread and added the cold smoked eggplant appetizer. The Patlıcan Ezmesi was outstanding! My husband had the Balık Böreği (talapia) and my daughter... More

What a surprise in Chapel Hill. Genuine Turkish food. Takes me back to places in Turkey. And a very good assortment of choices. We usually get three cold or hot starters and a main course to make our own mezze. Been there several times and was impressed each time. Our last time we had the fried zucchini, cold eggplant stuffed... More

This is a great restaurant for a family or group. We sat outside and enjoyed the street scene. Food was delicious. Love the dip they give you at the beginning with the bread too.

A uniquely terrific dining experience, Turkish food that is heavenly. Their homemade hummus - served warm - and the pita is divine - especially with a cold beer. Dining inside is intimate and exotic in decor, while sitting at a table outdoors and watching Chaoel Hill life go by is equally delightful . You can't miss with this wonderful eatery!

We we new to Talullahs as were family members we were visiting with. The atmosphere was marvelous, like being transported to another country and time. The food was excellent, presented simply, but beautifully. We were given ample portions that were filling, but not overwhelming. I had the salmon salad which was quite tasty and my husband enjoyed the adana kabob... More

Very atmospheric, in an old Chapel Hill building right on Franklin Street. Great service, and the food was divine. Some of the dishes are only available on the weekends. All of the dishes are aromatic and flavorful.

If you are a lover of Turkish or Lebanese food, don't miss this place! Fresh ingredients, delicious and perfectly prepared lamb, a fine selection of reasonably priced wines, wonderful specials, with great service and atmosphere- it's all here!
