Nice, fresh foods - Souther cuisine with a flair

We had brunch at Weathervane, and the menu had so many tempting dishes it was hard to decide. Whether you're from the south or not, order the grits, they know how to cook them properly.

first time visit and will definitely go back again for a terrific lunch served with great service. The special addition is that you can browse and shop through Southern seasons and purchase special treats to take home.

For many years, I loved to go eat there for lunch: they had a delicious 3 salads dish at a reasonable price. but unfortunately things have changed: that option is no longer offered and the prices have skyrocketed. To be fair, the last time I ate there, I had a very good grilled salmon... but it wasn't cheap!

The first rule of a great dining experience: Do Not Look At The Prices, Just Enjoy the Meal. We were a party of 4, seated at a booth for 6, so sliding across the tight seat was uncomfortable. They did not appear very busy, but the waiter was not around much, told our designated driver they had all soft drinks,... More

We ordered Rosemary biscuits and what do you think arrived at our table? Hush puppies. Pappardelle just okay. Good iceberg wedge. Flounder kinda average. Great wine list!

My husband and I went for our anniversary on Christmas Eve we had never been but wanted to try it. I was disappointed the Clams were no longer on the menu but understand. I had a burger and my husband had eggs benedict and the food was very nice our waiter too was very nice and attentive.

The two of us dropped in to The Weathervane Cafe for lunch today and it was as good as I remembered. We ordered deviled eggs and fried green tomatoes as an appetizer. Both were very good and well plated. The fried green tomatoes came with goat cheese and a lightly spiced sauce (highly recommend) and then split the fried chicken... More

Stopped in before Christmas shopping for brunch. Very friendly and quick service, nice clean open space. I had the duck and wild mushroom hash which was excellent, and my wife tried the brunch quesadilla which was good..not great, but good. We shared a cold shrimp appetizer plate which tasty, but certainly overpriced at $3 per shrimp. Still..it was a nice... More

Over the past thirty years I've eaten there a few times each year...twice in the last month. A few weeks ago I left thinking...ok, but not worth the money. Today I left thinking &$&?$ I just wasted time and money! I believe it survives on past reputation and people who believe the food must be good, because, after all, it... More

My husband and I went for a date night on Saturday night and while everything was ok, the experience did not really stand out. We ordered the mussels appetizer and the blue cheese they included in it just totally overpowered the mussels. We tried the pimento cheese fritters as well, they were ok. There was an issue with the timing... More
