Chapel Hill has been discovered -- replete with traffic, noise, giant constructions and strip malls. So -- it's nice to find a place to escape such as the Weathervane. There is a certain new pretense which comes with Chapel Hill's "discovery" and population explosion -- which is reflected in the new atmosphere of this restaurant. I've been coming here for... More

This used to be a nice venue for brunch and lunch. I cannot say that any more. The service, particularly the front desk service verges on the rude and the service last Sunday can only be described as grudging and at times resentful. Food is mediocre but the price above average. It is also freezing cold inside and needs refurbishing... More

My friend and I met for lunch and were seated outside; it was a lovely day and seemed appropriate. The bloody mary and the quiche lorraine were flavorful and served by a cordial server. My friend had a BLT with delicious sweet potato fried potatoes. Only issue was nearby loud leaf blower sending debris over the fenced area for which... More

This place never disappoints. I have been there for lunch several times and each time I am surprised again by its quality and value. Their shrimp and grits is superb and the lunch serving is ample enough to satisfy. Their pimento cheese fritters are to die for. I also like their fried chicken and my lunch companion said the deviled... More

My friends and I ate at the Weathervane for brunch. Everything was really good - make sure to try their sticky bun as an "appetizer" to share - it is delicious!

My husband and I eat here quite often. The food is always good, as is the service. I'm partial to the Shrimp and Grits. I also love the brunch options, particularly the chorizo quesadilla. I also like that you get a glass of the house white or red for five dollars. The wait staff are professional. And, it is such... More

I took a peek at this menu on line and was extremely excited. The execution is a different story. The chef/cooks are heavy handed with the salt. It drives me batty when salt is used to create flavor when there are so many other options. The deviled eggs are gross. Too much salt and pickle juice. The crab cake was... More

The outdoor seating is absolutely superb. Wait staff upbeat and incredibly friendly. The Brunch meal could not have been more tasty. Mrs. Manning says anytime we are back in the Research Triangle, we will be going here to eat. We all loved it.

Loved the service and the food was excellent. The specials were especially good, but all of our meals were really tasty. We will definitely eat here again on our next visit.
