We were staying at the hotel and reserved the package that included dinner. Really enjoyed the drinks and food. I had a whole fish that was easy to eat, asked before ordering. Light and very tasty. I can't recall what my husband ordered, but do remember he was very pleased with his choice. The wine was excellent. I would recommend... More

Friends and I stayed at the Siena Hotel and ate at Il Palio for dinner one night, and for breakfast one day. The food was excellent (the pumpkin soup was the best I ever had) It was noon when we got there the 2nd day, and they had stopped serving the breakfast menu (we were hoping for a brunch-type meal).... This was one of the best meals we've had in the last year...and we've had a lot of great ones. Service was impeccable...food was utterly amazing...ambiance just perfect to celebrate my husband's birthday. We've visited Siena, Italy, and Il Palio serves it's memory well. We live in St Louis but our favorite nephew and niece live in Chapel Hill...we will... More

Starting with one of the best Manhattan's I've had recently, to the veal cheek ossobuco, to the flawless service....Il Palio is worthy of 5-stars in any city. Connected to the lobby of the Siena Hotel, this is one of Chapel Hill's finest restaurants. Very highly recommended.

Il Palio is an excellent Italian-inspired restaurant which features fresh local ingredients prepared well. My husband and I have eaten there several times and always been very pleased with the service, ambiance and -- of course -- the food. Great place for a special occasion and fabulous Sunday brunch.

Great Service and Great Food! It should be for the prices they charge for the small portions. I like getting small portions, but be realistic on the price. Salads are $12 and most entries are $30+. If you have money to throw away and like nice Restaurants , this is your kind of place. If you're regular folks and want... More

This was my 2nd trip to Il Palio - this time on purpose. The first instance we wandered in by chance as we were staying at the hotel. This time round, to celebrate my birthday on a return trip. Foccacia made onsite, steeped in olive oil - great start! Linguine with clams - small portion, just right on the pasta.... More

We enjoyed a two hour meal at Il Palio - the staff allowed us to take our time, ordering one course at a time. Attentive staff and very good food.

I was here for my granddaughter's christening celebration. The restaurant is beautifully appointed and the food was outstanding. We had melon wrapped in amazing prosciutto for appetizers as well as tomato goat cheese crostini that were so delicious. Meatballs, eggplant and monkfish were our main courses and one was better than another. The dessert were these wonderful lemon ricotta bombolini,... More
