For some reason the rating go from "Very Good" (4*) to "Average" (3*). My real rating is 3.5* ("good") We came for lunch, having been there for dinner two years ago. It wasn't quite as good this time. My wife had mussels and fries. It was a Very large portion but they just didn't have a lot of flavor this... More

I had not been back to Kitchen in a couple of years. We went there for lunch. Not very many customers there. I ordered the salad nicoise. It was disappointing. Two small pieces of seared tuna. They tasted fishy and had little flavor. The salad was supposed to have anchovies. There was some sort of small fish, perhaps smelts or... More

Dick knows how to cook and Sue, how to host. It was a wonderful dinner, with a triple cheese appetizer followed by mussels/frites and a hangar steak salad. The bottle of Cote de Rhone suggested paired beautifully with the meals we selected. The chocolate creme pot was the perfect ending to share.

We headed to Chapel Hill to drop our first born child off at college. We stayed at a nice condo through AIRBNB, and the owner recommended Kitchen to us. We met the owner at the door, and she was friendly, informative, and helpful. They did not have a table available immediately, so we ran some errands and returned. She had... More

We've never had a bad meal at Kitchen. We love the use of local ingredients, the true Bistro feel and the seasonal dishes. Casual and elegance together. Absolutely fabulous and perfect late night romantic rendezvous but also a great place to meet friends

Pros: Imaginative, well prepared food, reasonable wine list, ample parking. Cons: No reservations for less than six people. Can get crowded. No wine chillers. The kitchen smells pervade the dining area--not always a good thing. Tips: Bring your own wine chillerif you wish to linger over a bottle of white wine. Overall rating 3.5 stars out of 5. This is... We've been here many times and the food and service have never failed us. I especially love the rotating smoked fish starter or the salmon on lentils. Portions are excellent. Even better they serve later into the evening- with a smile! Be sure to try the pickle plate, always a treat!

My husband took me to celebrate our wedding anniversary and it was really the best place to eat in all the area. The food was absolutely delicious, especially the the goat cheese starter and Thai mussels. Felt like back in Europe! The service and atmosphere were cozy ad welcoming. highly recommend it!

Hard to see from the street. Really nice little French bistro in a small strip mall. Owner's wife greeted us and during the evening made sure everything was great. Our server was Brian and he was fast, friendly and knowledgeable. We shared an order of mussels, beet salad, and short-ribs with mashed potatoes and broccoli. Cherry custard dessert was excellent... Cozy little restaurant that serves fabulous mussels and other dishes. Tonight we had mussels and they are just devine. After eating them you get bread and soak up the broth for a second course of delicious taste. The fries served with the mussels are yummy too. They don't take reservations but we didn't wait too long on a Wednesday night... More
