Favorite place to eat when visiting son in Chapel Hill. Wide selection, fresh flavors. Can't go wrong with the lamb gyro. Second visit and can't wait to go again.

I was very impressed with the numerous choices in the display case and decided on the 3-salad selection. The food was delicious and ample in quantity. We sat outside as it was a bit noisy inside. Not much to complain about - the only change I would make is not having to go to the counter to order (you don't... More

Med deli is a very popular Chapel Hill restaurant with offerings not found in other restaurants. Prices are reasonable and the food is very good. The atmosphere is very casual and children are welcome (as are pets at the sidewalk tables). My personal favorite is the lamb Gyro. Orders are taken and paid for at a counter along the back... More

A feast for the eyes and the stomach. We beg to eat here when we visit our daughter. Vegetarian or not: it's all amazing. Salads, soup, platters... Then there is the Rose tea... Crowded and noisy, but worth the wait. Walk in and grab a menu while you wait in the ordering line.

Great food & our noisy-ish kids were not noticed over the din. Food was wonderful and the young girl at the counter was great about making suggestions. Our rather picky kids were pleased and my husband and I left wishing we lived closer so we could be regulars. I am not a big fan of counter service but I really... More

Other reviewers have done justice to the great food here. I want to help with the parking, which is very tough in downtown Chapel Hill, especially if you are not familiar with the area. If you go to the Internet site parkonthehill.com, you'll get an up-to-date map showing the parking options near Franklin Street (the main street in downtown), including... More

My main complaint is this...there are too many choices to choose from. I've been to Israel, Greece and Turkey and these guys hit it out of the park. Great value and the food is terrific. There's no ambiance here but that's ok. I'll definitely return!

My wife, 2 kids, and I were driving past Chapel Hill on the interstate and it was near dinner time. We found this place on Trip Advisor and the reviews made it sound great so we decided to stop. It was about 5 miles to downtown Chapel Hill, we had trouble finding parking (we ended up in one of the... More
