All our group was pleased

We had three couples who dined at The Orchard on Aug 26, 2015. All were quite satisfied with their meal and the service. Mountain trout is their specialty and they serve it four different ways. I had the almondine and my wife the continental divide. Three others had the fried. The coconut shrimp... read more

The Orchard Restaurant provided a relaxed and roomy atmosphere for our large family dinner. The menu selections were fresh and extensive with a wide selection of beef and chicken dishes and a very good wine list. We began with fried green tomatoes (a must if you've never tried them), and ordered a variety of main dishes including the gatherer's stew,... More

Four trout preparations and a variety of other fish joined with an abundance of meat choices make choosing very difficult. The food was nicely prepared, and served efficiently. The old house setting is relaxing.

The ahi tuna appetizer, crab soup, and salmon special with sea scallops may have been the best meal I have had this year. Even the side order of sautéed spinach was prepared to perfection. We plan to come back later in the week before returning to The Villages in Florida.

Enjoyed a beautiful evening to cap off a fantastic weekend in Cashiers. Highly recommended by family and they were right. We both had delicious trout dishes. The star of the dinner was an appetizer of fried chicken livers with a light gravy and sautéed onions. My mom fried those and we shared them when I was a child - one... More

We enjoyed a wonderful meal at The Orchard this evening. We had reservations for 6PM and arrived a few minutes past 6 and were seated promptly served water and drink orders taken by the Tres, the wine steward/bartender. Our server, Bobby, graciously told us about the specials. I had been planning to have a trout entre` but being a lover... More

A favorite for quality, healthy fare. Have never had a disappointing dish. Nice old post inn setting.

The owners of the B& B we stayed at recommended the restaurant to us. We thoroughly enjoyed our meals. I had a delicious wild mushroom ravioli dish with a super tasty sauce. My husband enjoyed one of their pork tenderloin offerings. Each entree is accompanied by a fresh salad and warm crusty rolls. Yum. We topped it off with a... More

This is a dependible restaurant for a meal that exemplifies mountain cooking . The owners are brothers who a local residents and are usually present . The setting is an old farmhouse that gives great atmosphere . Reservations are a must since the locals know what a quality meal this is and generally fills the space .

We decided to come down from the mountain this week and our friends suggested The Orchard. We made reservations 5:30. We were the first ones of the evening at the restaurant and was seated pretty quick. We had a nice dinner with drinks and great conversation. Our waited was great. Very friendly and helpful in helping us make a entree... More
