Just do it. This is the chef who made Blackberry Farm famous. Locally sourced food and all that. Be sure to call several weeks in advance. Also, they cut back their hours significantly during the off-season, so call ahead for that, too. Aside from the food, the staff is quite pleasant and well-informed. The building is an open, vaulted timber-frame... More

We arrived a little bit early and had drinks in the back looking at mountains...very nice. The service was wonderful and the food was good. The ambiance is very warm.

If you have read the other reviews you know that the barn space is second to none. It is spectacular high volume open barn with big inviting fireplace. The early evening sunlight soaking the mountains behind with the yellow changing leaves is as good as it gets. The grounds and the simple bar out back near the vegetable garden is... More

Lovely fall evening with a warm fire blazing in the fireplace. Always love the setting. Since the last time we were here they changed things slightly. The menu is still pre-fixed, but we feel like you get quite a bit of food for the price. They now served "snacks" as several small appetizer bites. Our favorite was the lobster corn... More

It doesn't get any prettier than the Canyon Kitchen. This open air restaurant looks out on Fairfield Canyon and the rock faces are fantastic. The organic garden sits right outside by the bar and there are addiondack chairs for sipping wine and champagne. The trouble is, even if you arrive 30 minutes before your reservation, if your table is ready,... More

We were very impressed with the setting, the gardens, and the open air restaurant. Very sophisticated, reminded me of Napa valley. However, my taste buds were sorely disappointed when the dinner began. The wait staff was not consumer friendly, they acted like we were doing them a favor of eating there, versus the staff being interested in providing an "over... More

We recently visited Cashiers NC for the USGA Senior Amateur. Several family members traveled from all over the country and we decided, because of a strong recommendation, to all dine together at the Canyon Kitchen. The immediate impression was stunning--- the setting is beautiful. We were quickly surprised however to find that they only offer a very limited menu with... More

We attended a wedding at Canyon Kitchen yesterday that was absolutely fabulous. The tent that was set up was so beautiful, the view was amazing, the service fantastic and the food excellent. If you are considering a wedding in Cashiers, North Carolina I would highly recommend having it at Canyon Kitchen.

There is nothing not to love about Canyon Kitchen. The setting is breathtaking - you would never know that you were right of Hwy 64 - you feel like you are in a magical mtn. setting w/ a large green, green meadow and several rock faced mountains in the background. Chef Fleer is hands down the best chef in the... More

Just east of Cashiers. Dining in an open area covered" barn" with a nice breeze- even in the summer- is the best of mountain living. An extensive and creative menu and wonderful wine list make this a special occasion venue where you will want to make up an occasion to celebrate.
