At here back in July. From the service to the food to the view it can't be beat. All the food is freshly grown their. One of the best meals I have had in a long time. It's a bit pricey by well worth it.

We recently had our annual dining experience at Canyon Kitchen. It was a beautiful evening and, as others have said, the venue is spectacular! The open set up, the gardens and the outside bar make this a special place to dine. In the past, we have found the food to be only ordinary. This experience, we found the service to... More

Yes, it is pricey, but it is worth it! There was 4 of us dining. We started with cocktails on the patio out back with the wonderful view. Our table was on the perimeter of this open-air barn/lodge. We had wonderful service from the two ladies who took care of everything for us. Our meals were delicious! Would be willing... More

Breathtaking views and delicious farm to table food. Our night we had an entree choice of pork or chicken- might have liked a red choice but that is a small quibble. The wine pairings were lovely and experience a rare start to finish pleasure. Definitely will return

I was so excited to try this place on my vacation in Highlands. I looked forward to it for months. The place is beautiful and the scenery to die for.. The food was terrible... On the night we dined, the restaurant was serving "family style".. That meant you got three or four appetizers to share and a choice of either... More

I hate to give this a three. I really wanted to like this place. I've been wanting to go for awhile and finally a friend and I decided to go. The view is absolutely spectacular. The wine list is varied and reasonable. The custom cocktails are inventive and tasty. Our server was a doll. One of the two desserts we... More

Had dinner with another couple. As always, the view can't be beat. But ... did not have as wonderful an experience as in the past. The bar was "out" of some of the typical alcohols used to make cocktails. The way this was handled was rather awkward. The server that we had could not answer most questions we and our... More

With the mountain as a backdrop to this great restaurant with it's own veggie garden and hen's is awesome. The prefix meal we had for $48 was delicious and well prepared. This high-end but still mountain elegant casual restaurant is the best you can find in Cashiers. the wine list has something for everyone. Make your reservation early to be... More

I've been fortunate to attend a couple of fundraisers at Lonesome Valley. Not only the food is good - the setting is spectacular. Breathtaking actually - sipping a glass of wine outside, you simply marvel at the view before you. Now - the Canyon Spa has opened in the old caretaker's cottage offering 5-star service. The staff at the Spa... More

What is there not to like at Canyon Kitchen? The early problems concerning the waitstaff, which are mostly college students, have been resolved. The atmosphere is casually elegant and the high ceiling and Lonesome Valley vistas are beyond compare. Then, there is the food. Use any superlative and you are there. The pastry chef is consistently excellent. The wine list is replete with... More
