Great food and great service

This is one of the two finest restaurants in the Highlands Cashiers Lake Toxaway area make reservations early and enjoy five star food and five star service. A great restaurant with some of the most beautiful scenery in the Western North Carolina mountains. A definite must do when you visit the area

A group of us ate at Canyon Kitchen in both May and August of 2015 and our experiences both with the service and food were less than splendid. This is a "fine dining" facility where customers are rightly entitled to high expectations. My partner and I ate there again October 31 on their final night of the 2015 season and... More

Plan ahead to enjoy a weekend dinner in this glorious setting. The food is good, not memorable, but inventive and definitely good. Service is friendly, not stuffy. This is mountain elegance. Views are wonderful, especially in the fall at sunset. Don't expect 3 stars, just enjoy it. Fixed price , limited menu.

The ambience was beautiful. The food however, did not meet our expectations. The halibut was dry and over cooked. The pork tenderloin was tough and so smoky it overpowered everything else on the plate.

Love Love Love it! Wandering through the outdoor garden and fence lined with flowers as the sun set was amazing. Being seated and enjoying the fatuous weather was a treat. The walls open up so you feel like you are part of the landscape. The prix fix farm to table dinner was divine. Everyone started with the Southern Summer Salad... More

We've been to a lot of places around the world and rely heavily on TA. We're seldom disappointed. But TA definitely got it wrong about Canyon Kitchen. We ate at several other of the highly rated restaurants in Cashiers and there's no way that CK is not the #1 place in Cashiers. #6 (at this writing) -- are you kidding... More

Easy menu, great food, and the perfect setting all went together for a delightful evening. We are yearly visitors and hope to continue to visit each year. Thanks to all who made it so special!

This place will take your breath away. The food is amazing and changes quite often. The appetizers are family style and entrees are chosen individually. And the food is always fantastic. The restaurant is open on two sides and a huge fireplace with comfortable sofa seating make it a great experience whether it's summer or fall. The outside bar allows... More

We ate here towards the end of our family vacation, and it was as if we were frozen in a moment in time that I will long remember! A big round family table, a beautiful view just feet away off the verandah, and a double rainbow. We were able to get up and step outside to enjoy nature's delight! The... More

We have eaten all over the world and this dining experience was up with the best. The setting is beautiful with open air dining and great views. Begin with a cocktail in the gardens and then a four course prix fixe menu to die for. The menu changes according to what the chef can source the freshest but I'm sure... More
