New Years Eve

The ambiance was perfect and the staff, attentive. There are some nice game choices on the menu, such as kangaroo, elk, and duck. The lobster was very good and the sautéed mushrooms were excellent. The only complaint is the price. South Beach prices in such a rustic place.

We've been here several times over the last few years and it is just so inconsistent. The staff is constantly changing, the bartenders are no longer friendly, and the food is sub par. For such a beautiful building it is a great disappointment.

I am not opposed to paying more for a meal that is going to WOW me! I love to go out of town and "experience" a new meal at a new place, but this was not at all what we had imagined. The atmosphere is amazing and our server was very attentive. When you look at the menu and the... More

We live 1 mile from gamekeepers and have since the very first of many owners have had this place. We have tried time and time again to support this place and have been burned again and again. last night we show up for dinner 6:15 ish to mostly empty house as is the norm for this time of year. This is a finer dining establishment that features wild game and exotic meats. It serves wild boar, elk, kangaroo and ostrich. Everything is served a la cart, you pay extra for the appetizer, the salad, the side dishes and even the bread. A decent dinner with an appetizer and a few sides will cost you over $50. The food is... More

The restaurant has several area including a large dining area, a bar, and an outdoor porch. Stone fireplaces. Impeccable service. The menu is very diverse featuring game, birds, and fish of all kinds. We tried different salads, entrees, and sides - everything was very good. Would definitely return!

We had really excellent service from well-informed, local staff and AMAZING food. I put away far more of the boar ribs than expected and my husband found the shepherd's pie 'succulent [verily, I tell you, I hate that word], well flavored, and very filling'. Extensive wine list and delicious coffee to finish.

I am so glad we found this little gem! What a gorgeous place in the mountains to enjoy a glass of wine by a fireplace. From the moment we entered, everyone was over the top kind!! We didn't have a chance to dine, only had a cocktail in the lounge but will definitely return for dinner!!

Stopped on an impulse for lunch, the place looked charming outside. And inside and their outdoor patio did not disappoint. Read a couple of "disappointed" reviews below from around October 21st. Our entire experience from food, to attentive and informative staff could not have been more different. Finding The Gamekeepers Tavern was a "WOW" delight, similar to the "WOW" breathtaking... More

We enjoyed our visit here and the food was terrific! They have many different meats as well as some old favorites. Enjoyed the Elk and Ostrich. Service was great and the atmosphere is exactly what we were looking forward to. Recommend a visit, make a reservation as they are only open Wed- Sun
