Pretty Good

We spent 3 weeks in Cashiers and ate here several times. Food and service were always good. Daily specials provide variety. A word of caution: This place is very popular and is usually crowded after 12 with a lot of people waiting to be seated. If you are going, try to get there before 12.

My husband and I come up to this area every year. Cornucopia was our favorite place to eat. We went to brunch on a Sunday afternoon. Everyone was nice but the food took forever to arrive. It was cold and it was supposed to be a hot fish taco salad. I sent it back and ordered something cold and it... More

It's very hard for me to give a bad review so I'm giving 3 out of five! The saving grace was that the waitress was very kind and the food was good. It's just hard to overlook such things as a rude hostess and the table never being cleaned, I'm mean literally everything that came to the table stayed at... More

Had dinner there recently - hostess was polite and friendly. The server seemed out of touch. She took drink orders and we had a reasonable since the place was pretty full. However, a guy showed up and gave me my drink in a glass; I had ordered a bottle (he said he thought it would save time pouring it at... More

It's a can't miss. Could be an entrée, it's fantastic. Chanterelle mushrooms sautéed lightly with spinach. Don't miss it! Beef short ribs and sea scallops with crab risotto not too shabby either. Awesome spot.

And, DON'T believe it's on-line menu. My spaghetti and (room-temperature) meatballs are, to be avoided. My wife's fish and chips was mediocre, at best. There is no A/C; and, we were shuttled, to a table, NOT under a fan. We had a trainee, as our server. I hope she makes it. I WILL NOT return, for dinner. The lunch is... More

Our waitress, Katie was very attentive to our party of 14. Compliments from each member of our group for fresh uniquely prepared food from seafood to pork chops and delicious salads.

Our food was fine. Our experience with wait staff was okay, but not great. Entire restaurant is outdoors, under a shed. It is nicely done, but quite loud, and subject to whatever the temperatures are.

We had high hopes for Cornucopia restaurant. They were not met. The inside-outside decor is highly casual yet the prices are high. The food was unremarkable and didn't seem well prepared. Expected a better playing and sense of unique tastes. A bright spot was the service which was helpful and quite attentive. Won't return given so many other good choices... More

The signature mojito had no mint, but lots of salt on the rim and tasted like a margarita. Bartender said the mint was in the sugar syrup, strange since they had lots of fresh mint outdoors. Pork chop and short ribs were dry and unpleasant; fresh peach salad had rock-like peaches (strange since we found an abundance of fresh peaches... More
