Almost heaven

Almost a perfect breakfast place. Food is excellent, atmosphere is great -- as a small local place. Owner and help are very nice. But expect to help yourself, much is self service. That is the only hangup along with the small number of seats crunched together. BUT the food is delicious. The lemon... read more

We were riding home from an overnight stay and happened upon The Cary Cafe. What an amazing little accident that was! It was a Saturday morning and the place was fairly busy, but that didn't detract from a great breakfast and a fantastic cup of coffee. I had the Mushroom omelet special and my wife had fruit covered waffles (not... More

Went for late lunch. Service: Pretty slow. 11 people in line and lady taking orders stopped to take a phone order. Not good. Also, she was dressed in spandex gym clothes. Waited quite a long time for my meal to arrive, despite the fact that there were only 11 people there....lunch crowd was gone. Food: Sweet tea tasted like furniture... More

If you're picky about service, this is not the place for you. Patrons order at the counter and the staff bring the food to you. I could care less about that and more about the quality and taste of the food, which is awesome! I had breakfast there, and it was top notch. I'm going back tomorrow.

What a disappointment. I arrived for lunch at around 1:00. The restaurant was mostly empty and no one was waiting for food. I ordered a sandwich to go. The cashier asked if I wanted a drink and cookie for $2.00 more—sure, thanks. Waited. And waited. Drank two glasses of iced tea. A lady who ordered after me got her food.... More

I went here for lunch on a Saturday and waited 45min for a sandwhich and they got my order wrong. But the cookie was good

If you have food allergies or care about someone who does, do not eat here! I have severe food allergies and have to bring my food with me when I go out to eat with friends. I went with a friend to this cafe and an employee or owner came and told me I could not bring food in for... More

I had the best experience at the Cary Cafe, delicious healthy food. A breath of fresh air. We had the pumpkin pancakes, and the sun-dried tomato and feta omelette with delicious soft fresh home made biscuits(probably better than your mothers!)! Definitely recommend it to anyone in Cary area.

I was a little disappointed with this place after reading good reviews. I had the chicken salad on a croissant, and while it tasted OK, there was too much mayo and not enough chicken. I was hungry again half way through the afternoon. The accompanying fruit cup was very small. I don't particularly mind putting in my own order and... More

Love this place, great service with a smile and wonderful menu. If you plan on dining in on the weekends, I think it may be best to try to get there early. The everything bagels are delicious with cream cheese and some strawberry preserves.
