If you like lamb you will love the pulled lamb on Johnny cakes with greens and macaroni and cheese with their signature cornbread cake (can't remember the name of it but it's awesome). I've never seen a place so crowded for lunch but our wait was only 3 minutes and tell service was top notch!

Ronnie, The word you are looking for is Johnny Cakes! They are the precursor to the traditional american pancake and are cornmeal and cornflour based. Delicious with both lamb and pork! Thanks for you review we will see you for lunch again soon. Greg Miller Dining Room Manager Lucky 32 Southern Kitchen More

I had the Wednesday night special and it was wonderful. Fresh chicken, skillet fried in locally rendered lard with mashed potatoes, giblet gravy, collard greens and cornbread. This is going to sound like a cliche, but it actually tasted like chicken, not some tasteless, greasy food service fowl. I didn't expect to see the professionalism that was evident in the... More

Visited this restaurant as 'out of towner's, pot luck in other words. we were more than pleasantly surprised not only with the menu, but the service and seating arrangement too. The open kitchen is quite different, definitely NO fast food from this restaurant. In fact we enjoyed it so much, we went back twice! fresh salads, good prices, plenty to... More

Lucky's is a trendy upscale restaurant/bar in a large Cary office park area. The food is authentic southern fare, served in fancy digs. While the food is good, the portion sizes are small, and way overpriced. Probably due to the expensive real estate.

Owen, We appreciate the feedback. Our menu has a wide range of items and menu prices ranging from $9 - $16 at lunch. There is something delicious in every price range. Greg Miller Dining Room Manager Lucky 32 Southern Kitchen More

A few nights ago, when my husband and I were visiting friends who live in Cary, we all decided to go to Lucky 32 for dinner. Our friends had eaten there several years ago and, after this latest meal, wondered why they waited so long to return. Our dinners were all delicious, beginning with a shared seasonal appetizer of grilled... More

We didn't have reservations, and were considering ourselves a party of 8-10. The Manager was very honest and cordial in expressing his regrets that there would be almost a 2 hour wait for party of that size. I appreciate that he didn't act like it could be "any minute." WAIT! We didn't wait 2 hours. Since the other members of... More

First visit and we'd really been wanting to go for some time. It was very crowded for a Tuesday evening - arriving at 7pm and had to wait around 20 minutes for a table. The bar was lively and easy to get a drink and the table service was attentive and quick. The food was good quality, but nothing terribly... More

All the sides need attention, mac and cheese, out of a can, devil eggs (yuck) Salad with blu cheese dressing was water with a few pieces of cheese. All the meals were just average, nothing to brag about. the previous reviewers must have been on the road a long time and would brag about anything.

My husband ordered the shrimp and grits -- excellent!!!!!!! I ordered the black bean burger which was just okay for me. A little boring in taste. A lot of wonderful seasonal choices on menu. Outside seating was a nice change on a beautiful day. Staff very nice and helpful. A first visit to Lucky 32 and will be back.
