Havana Grill in Cary NC: Average Sums it Up

Last week I made my third visit to the Havana Grill on Chatham St in Cary NC. I had been there previously once for both lunch and dinner. This recent visit was for lunch. I had a Ropas Vieja sandwich. My friend had a Cubano. My friend didn't especially care for his lunch but I attribute that... read more

I went to Havana on a Groupon. I had gone 3 years ago and wasn't impressed, but decided to give it another shot. I had a groupon ...dinner for 2...but took the family. My son and I had skirt steak with yuca as an appetizer and flan as the dessert. I wanted to try the wings, but they were out... More

Had the pork, yellow rice and salad. The shredded pork was tasty could of used a little more liquid on plate. The rice i felt was a little dry. The salad greens were very fresh the ranch dressing was slightly watery. The sangria was a little tart to mytastes but not bad.

We went to this restaurant tonight (Valentines Day) because we had a Groupon for this restaurant. Our deal was Dinner for two: one appetizer, two entrees and one dessert . When we walked in, the place was empty. You have to order at the counter and pay before being seated. No problem. Well, we ordered the chicken wings for our... More

My husband and I lived in the Fla Keys for several years, and had the pleasure of enjoying authentic Cuban food on many occassions. Yesterday, we took a wrong turn in getting from point A to point B. Sure glad we did! We found this small, Cuban restaurant. It's interesting that you walk up to the cashier and order. No... More

This is real Cuban food. When someone from out of town is hungry for the sandwich they'd buy on the street in Florida, this is where we go. When we want a traditional Cuban steam table dinner, for not too much money, this is where we go.

My husband and I ate for the first time at Havana Grill this weekend. In a nut shell, the food is WAY overpriced! The plantains were ok, not bad, but kind of cold when we got them. The black beans and rice as well as the fries were decent...ever thing else was terrible. My husband's pork was so hard, he... More

We went here for the first time a few weeks ago and I was very excited to see Paella on the line. It was good, but I've had better. The plantains were the best I've had! I have to agree with others reviewing this on several things; 1- I also smelled a foul odor upon entering. It actually smelled like sewage.... More

We walked in, there was a funky smell when we got inside, it wasn't a food smell. It was a gorgeous day so we wanted to sit on the patio. There were a bunch of tables set up with women selling their products. I didn't really like them doing their business while we were trying to enjoy lunch. It was... More
