Good food,not so good housekeeping

We went here for the first time a few weeks ago and I was very excited to see Paella on the line. It was good, but I've had better. The plantains were the best I've had! I have to agree with others reviewing this on several things; 1- I also smelled a foul odor upon entering. It actually smelled... read more

We went to this restaurant tonight (Valentines Day) because we had a Groupon for this restaurant. Our deal was Dinner for two: one appetizer, two entrees and one dessert . When we walked in, the place was empty. You have to order at the counter and pay before being seated. No problem. Well, we ordered the chicken wings for our... More

My husband and I lived in the Fla Keys for several years, and had the pleasure of enjoying authentic Cuban food on many occassions. Yesterday, we took a wrong turn in getting from point A to point B. Sure glad we did! We found this small, Cuban restaurant. It's interesting that you walk up to the cashier and order. No... More

This is real Cuban food. When someone from out of town is hungry for the sandwich they'd buy on the street in Florida, this is where we go. When we want a traditional Cuban steam table dinner, for not too much money, this is where we go.

My husband and I ate for the first time at Havana Grill this weekend. In a nut shell, the food is WAY overpriced! The plantains were ok, not bad, but kind of cold when we got them. The black beans and rice as well as the fries were decent...ever thing else was terrible. My husband's pork was so hard, he... More

We walked in, there was a funky smell when we got inside, it wasn't a food smell. It was a gorgeous day so we wanted to sit on the patio. There were a bunch of tables set up with women selling their products. I didn't really like them doing their business while we were trying to enjoy lunch. It was... More

We've ate here 3 times. Each time I enjoy my order of Plantains & Fried Yucca Plant. Lots to eat, be careful "how" you order... One person taking my order, didn't listen, I even repeated myself. I ended up with a " meal with 2 sides " ( that I didn't want ) and my order of just Fried Yucca... More

My wife and I were driving around looking for a place to eat and we stumbled upon this joint. Cuban? Great! We loved our experiences in Cuban joints down in Ybor City, so we stopped in. We found the place to be unassuming, but I love such eateries as they normally make up for the shortcomings in appearance by having... More

I tried Cuban Food a few months ago while in Miami and fell in love with it and I brought a Groupon for this restaurant hoping that I could enjoy good Cuban food right here at home. Boy was a DISAPPOINTED. The food is served cafeteria style, but you can order from a menu. I ordered Camarones al Ajillo /... More
