Good Pub Grub

MacGregor has been around for years and a good place to catch a game, have a pint or snarf some bar food. Wings, pickle chips and burgers are all solid choices and rarely disappoint.

Although the food is good most of the time, they have become inconsistant in the quality of the food prep. We used to go there at least once a week with friends and found service to be slow and I could never get my burger cooked the way I wanted. It was either raw or burnt. They have a great... More

This is a great bar for sports and finger food, but they should not pretend to be a restaurant. My lunch order consisted of a patty melt that came as two slices of toasted rye, one hamburger patty and maybe two pieces of onions. I know restaurants encourage you to order drinks; but arid food makes you suspect everything. Friendly... More

Visited MacGregor a couple of times. Service was always good, wouldn't say outstanding but I have certainly had much worse. Food is good, portions are generous. Flavor of the food is great. Was always seated quickly, Plenty of space. Interesting beer and food specials. Walking distance from the courtyard is a nice plus. They do have more than just bar... More

Expect fantastic service, good pub food, and fun when you eat or visit. I had lunch here and it had been quite some time since I had last been there. And it was still great. I don't why I forget about the place other than it is in Macgregor Village which isn't on the way to anywhere.

Stopped in here one night at 10 PM. There was still quite a number of people here. We had a craft brew which was on tap and a sandwich. The service is quite good and the food very tasty. This was a friendly place with lots of parking outside and a spacious dining area with booths and tables in addition... More

Stopped in for dinner after a late flight. We were looking for a place to watch the Football game, so food wasn't necessarily the primary objective. The pickle chips are a must have (see if they'll give you a half order, because there were a LOT of pickles!) The other food was just okay. Service was not good - server... More

MacGregor's has always been a reliable place for beer and pub food. Wait staff is very helpful and burgers are good. Wings are made the old fashioned way (no breading) and are prepared well.

Six people went here for an early dinner (5:30 pm) before a North Carolina Basketball Game on a Tuesday night. Atmosphere was that of a sports bar with several large TVs for watching games. There were just a few people in the restaurant at that time. We were seated quickly with orders taken right away since we were going to... More

The atmosphere is basic and "pub like". Not bad.... The food was good and the service was good as well. Wood variety of pub food. e were seated immediately on a busy Friday night and were taken care of by the wait staff. The beer menu is pretty good and the menu has a good variety of pub food.
