I hate giving a bad review almost as much as I hate eating terrible, overpriced food. I own a home on Pleasure Island and rent during the summer. Guests are always asking me for suggestions. Mine is don't eat here. I ordered the Captain's Platter, which is a selection of whiting, flounder, deviled crab, shrimp, oysters and clam strips. It... More

Casual atmosphere and nothing on the menu that is not deep-fried but the shrimp cocktail. A bit overpriced for the quality.

Sometimes you just need some fried fish and this is the place to get it. The service is good and the fish was tasty. The prices are good and I got more than I could eat. It might not look like too much on the outside, but it has some goodies on the inside. I like the fact that they... More

Not recommen worth the time or money. Three. Of us weee eating no one even ate half their food. All food is fried and no to little taste. Even my 8 year old grandson wouldn't eat his meal.

We ate here on Saturday night. Everyone in our party of 4 got severe food poisoning. Everything in this restaurant is deep fried. If you are looking for fresh seafood this is probably not the best choice. That being said the service was friendly and efficient. However, we were beyond disappointed with this Carolina Beach "favourite".

First time to Carolina Beach. Had family and friends tell some of the good places to eat. And for them to tell us figured they must be good and they were right. You got to at least once go to Bowman's Seafood and will be glad you did. We were and will go back again. Wasn't a very big place... More

I ordered the Shrimp burger and it was so good. Lots of shrimp on bun and some on the plate. Hubby got a seafood plate and although it was good it was a bit pricey. We got the two meals, a water and a tea, no appertizers and the tab was $32.00 for two people. But service was fast and... More

It's fried or broiled with a choice of sides. Don't expect more or less. Traditional fried beach seafood served at a historic location by friendly Southern staff. Reasonably priced, great sweet tray and quick, fresh service.

Of all the years I've been going to the beach I had never eaten here. So after we heard alot of bragging about it being the best seafood ever, we decided to try it. The food was not all I had expected. It was just average, nothing great. The waitress was very friendly, but she messed up our order twice.... More

We drove from Wilmington and it was so worth it! Loved that it was lightly fried instead of a heavy batter. Huge portion on the small sized plates and side salad. A plus for me... Clean restrooms!
