Weekend breakfast treat

The breakfast is good and the coffee great. Parking is a problem at the weekends if you don't want to pay for it. The seating is old in the booths, but it is well worth a visit.

The hardest working waitresses and cooks in the area. They fking sling some food in this comfy yet busy diner. Me and the misses snug up to the short bar directly across from the kitchen pass and we tuck in our elbows to keep out of the whirlwind of waitresses and busboys, hunker down and try to blend in with... My wife and I recently visited The Gulf stream while on a trip to Carolina Beach. I got a western omelet, and my wife ordered chopped steak with eggs. My plate was fine, but my wife's steak was under-cooked she ordered medium well, but when the plate was brought out her eggs were setting in a puddle of blood; we informed our... More

My wife and I have been there for breakfast twice. The food was good and plenty of it. I think I skipped lunch the last time I was there for breakfast. I haven't been there for dinner yet but intend to go. You have a view of the harbor across the street.

Went to the Gulfstream with a very dear friend and her family. I was so excited to try this very busy restaurant and had high hopes for the food. To start, I asked our waitress for a cup of hot water and lemon (I order this all the time as I don't drink coffee). She brought all the drinks but... More

Went here after a recommendation from my parents. We were seated right away, but waited probably 5-10 minutes before our waitress came to our table - we wondered if we had been forgotten. Once we ordered, the food was slow to come, maybe 15 minutes or more. This was surprising as the place was not very busy. Once the food... More

My family has been to the Gulfstream multiple times & each time our experience has been different. Over all it is a quaint little place with delicious breakfast! The service is good. Seating is limited but worth the wait.

Followed the advice of trip adviser friends. We were looking for something non-chain, good food, reasonable price. This cute little place tucked back behind MCDonalds in Carolina Beach was perfect. We were greeted warmly, served promptly and food was tasty. The sweet tea was fantastic. Would recommend. We were there for a late lunch.

This was our first time at the Gulfstream but our fourth trip to Carolina Beach. We had polite southern hospitality service. We ordered the spinach and cheese omelet and the chopped steak and eggs (over easy). Even though the chopped steak was really a ground beef pattie, I loved it. They bring out A1 sauce and that just made it... More
