Was going to stop here for an early lunch leaving the beach, but decided to get breakfast (last time we were here, got lunch which was good). It's not often you'll find fresh, homemade corned beef hash (usually it's out of a can). This was great! (although a bit salty for my taste, but was fine for others). Eggs over-medium... More

My husband and I ate at the Gulfstream Restaurant while staying for a night in Carolina Beach for our 13 year anniversary. The food was excellent. My husband loves corn beef hash and they make their own. He was very happy and said it was the best ever. I had french toast and country ham. It too was awesome! The... More

My wife, child and I dined here for a late breakfast. My wife, being a huge fan of eggs benedict, ordered the crab benedict. The hollandaise sauce was a dark brown color. The crab was so overpowering of everything else on the benedict that it was like sticking your tongue in 3 day old fish guts. The hollandaise had zero... More

We appreciate you taking the time to write a review on TripAdvisor. We like getting reviews and even understand that they won't always be entirely complimentary but it is clear that you have our restaurant mixed up with another place. Our menu does not include a "crabcake benedict" nor a "big breakfast" and we do not have any kid's menu... More

Had a wonderful breakfast while vacationing in Carolina Beach at this little place. It was very clean, reasonably priced and good food. Would recommend for breakfast!

We were looking for different places to try for breakfast. Someone local recommended this place. I'm glad we listened. There was so much food that my teenage son & his friend had to take half of it back to our condo! That doesn't happen often! The plates we ordered came with a mound of homefries. All the food we had... More

Went to the Gulfstream based on the reviews here, but was underwhelmed by their dinner offerings. My wife and I ordered the flounder with crab meat, and I spent the better part of the meal picking bones out of my mouth with every bite. So much so, I just gave up eating the flounder. Granted, certain fish are more prone... More

We are so sorry that you had this problem with the flounder at Gulfstream. We purchase our flounder already filleted and have not known of excessive bones being a problem. If you brought this issue to the attention of your server or the manager on duty, I am sure they would have offered you another selection and done everything possible... More

Sat at the counter for breakfast here in August! Suggested by the folks at the Courtyard Marriott, this is the place all the employees go. Very nice, friendly staff, who bust their butts running tables at this place. Prices are fantastic, food is better. I got Biscuits and Gravy - the gravy was homemade! I forget about the biscuits...all I... More

Looks like a diner but is the authentic taste of NC seafood. Fried flounder is generous and tasty. The fried oysters were perfectly fresh, and the scallops surprisingly tender and big. Order 2 or 3 together and multiply the maritime joy! The clam chowder was hearty and authentic. The owner couldn't have been any nicer with the kids, providing entertainment... More

I found out the gulfstream was sold and I was so sad, but I went the other day and it was even better than before. they have new people working there along with some of the ones I recognized and the plates are even bigger than before, and the prices are still the lowest in town. I love the homemade... More

We visited Thursday night before the fireworks and just like the last review it was packed. Our server happened to be the one waiting on the big party and after the bad service we had received all week at other places in the area through out the week we assumed we were getting ready to experience the same. However Cindy... More
