Great Place for Hometown Cooking

Went their Easter Morning family for breakfast. Food was great..service better. Located near marina (where party boats and fishing charter boats located and short walk to beach boardwalk. Would recommend if you're looking for home cooked meal with family friendly price.

Went for breakfast, really delicious! The service was friendly and quick! Typical breakfast fare, the sausage gravy was a little thick, but had a great flavor. The French toast was tasty and the biscuits are homemade.

Had dinner here my first night in Carolina Beach. It was kind of late, so the place was deserted. I had the fried shrimp, baked potato, and cole slaw and my friend and I shared some onion rings. The onion rings and cole slaw were really good. The seasoning in the shrimp coating wasn't very appealing and they were overcooked.... More

We went to the GulfStream based on other reviews on TripAdvisor, and the reviews were spot on! This place looks like a little diner, but the food is delicious! I had an impressive plate of lasagna (the portions are huge!) and my mom had the shrimp parmesan. We both cleaned our plates. The sauce was obviously homemade and everything was... More

We ate here 2 out of 3 days here. First welcomed by 2 friendly southern polite waitresses and promptly served our coffee. Homemade hot biscuits and fresh corned beef hash and eggs made our day! Many locals dine here. We would have come for breakfast on day 3 New Year's Day but they were closed. Don't miss this local gem!

Country diner seafood and breakfast is kinda like chocolate... or like pizza... for me. When it's good it's good, and when it's bad it's still pretty darn good. But this place ain't just "good." It's great. It's fantastic. It's extraordinary. It's next level. I mean, I've been eating simple stuff like barbecued chicken, slaw, fried shrimp and hush puppies for... More

We just had a lovely dinner at Gulfstream in Carolina Beach, NC. At first impression, this is just a family diner. Be aware that they are a cash only establishment. There is an extensive menu of everything from burgers, salads, breakfast all day, seafood, Italian entrees and everyday diner specials - good kids menu too. Be sure to look for... More

Went down to CB for the NCHIA convention this year and stayed at the Courtyard. The desk clerk recommended I try this place saying it was the local "hot spot" for great food. I called in a reservation for the group and when we arrived, we ALMOST walked right back out and left. It is a small, CASH ONLY, diner-style... More
