Went to the Gulfstream based on the reviews here, but was underwhelmed by their dinner offerings. My wife and I ordered the flounder with crab meat, and I spent the better part of the meal picking bones out of my mouth with every bite. So much so, I just gave up eating the flounder. Granted, certain fish are more prone... More

Sat at the counter for breakfast here in August! Suggested by the folks at the Courtyard Marriott, this is the place all the employees go. Very nice, friendly staff, who bust their butts running tables at this place. Prices are fantastic, food is better. I got Biscuits and Gravy - the gravy was homemade! I forget about the biscuits...all I... More

Looks like a diner but is the authentic taste of NC seafood. Fried flounder is generous and tasty. The fried oysters were perfectly fresh, and the scallops surprisingly tender and big. Order 2 or 3 together and multiply the maritime joy! The clam chowder was hearty and authentic. The owner couldn't have been any nicer with the kids, providing entertainment... More

I found out the gulfstream was sold and I was so sad, but I went the other day and it was even better than before. they have new people working there along with some of the ones I recognized and the plates are even bigger than before, and the prices are still the lowest in town. I love the homemade... More

We visited Thursday night before the fireworks and just like the last review it was packed. Our server happened to be the one waiting on the big party and after the bad service we had received all week at other places in the area through out the week we assumed we were getting ready to experience the same. However Cindy... More

Discovered this place mid week. Had breakfast there 3 times. Eggs, pancakes, Belgium waffles, omelets, BLT sandwich, and the service were outstanding. Discovered the locals eat here and you can't beat the price. A definite must!

I have lived nearby, in Wilmington, for nearly 20 years and this was one of the best restaurant experiences I have ever had. I brought my family, all 9 of us, and the incredibly friendly and bubbly hostess pulled tables together for us in a matter of seconds. I ordered the flounder, and my daughter ordered the kids shrimp, which... More

The service was nice and friendly. Everyone at the table liked their breakfast. Pancakes, French toast, eggs were good. I thought the prices were good. The only disappointment was the home fries. Didn't have much of a taste. I will go back later this week.

Had breakfast twice the week while on vacation with my family. Server was attentive to the needs of my little ones. Best breakfast potatoes I have ever had. Parking was a bit of a challenge but large lot across street had many spaces. Also loved the country sausage. Much like the local diner back home. Will definitely revisit on next... More
