Really good seafood

Was here tonight. Had the ousters Rockefeller and the halibut. Both were excellent as usual. The halibut was over spinach risotto and fresh vegetables. A little pricey but well worth it.

We ordered the Blackened Salmon 'n Grits. My wife cannot stop telling "the family". She's from California - and is spoiled eating in Monterey. Not one complaint-- actually we understand why the clam chowder won international contests. The staff was helpful and informative.

We came to Michaels for Lunch after having a bad experience at the Lazy Parrot Grill Bar. We had a terrible clam chowder at the Lazy parrot that tasted like past due milk or raw milk. Since we had heard that Michaels had a great seafood Chowder I could not let that pass by. I had never ate chowder before... More

My fiance and myself spent a couple days at Carolina Beach and we saw your restaurant that looked so nice outside. From the minute we walked in the door, we knew we had made a great choice. Austin showed us to a table and gave us enough time to veiw the menu. We both had chowder and a dinner that... More

My wife and I were passing through for a short trip and friends advised us to try this place. Service prompt and friendly, food was excellent. Must try the chowder. I ordered a bowl and shared it with my wife. Very hearty, fresh and delicious. Chock full of seafood. Our waitress Dania was a southern charmer.

This restaurant was listed as one of the beet in the visitors guide and so we decided to give it a try. We were not disappointed. My boyfriend chose the blackened fish (yellow fin tuna) and grits and I had the pasta chu- chu with grilled chicken. Both dishes were prepared to perfection and equally tasty. The lunch portion and... More

Casual decor -- faux tiki bar -- but top-notch seafood! We had the Oysters Rockefeller to start. There were five plump oysters, superbly seasoned. I had a bowl of seafood chowder that was packed with shrimp, clams, scallops and whitefish. The consistency was much closer to a stew than a chowder, which meant even the smaller size was substantial. The... More

We stopped in here to for dinner on my daughters birthday. She loved the crab legs. There was a nice menu to chose from. Not a big seafood fan, but even I was able to find something. This was our second trip to Carolina Beach and the second time we stopped in. We will be back the next time we... More

Appetizers were good. Chowder good. When our dinners finally came 30 minutes later , mine was cold. I ordered the Gally, daughter had tuna and grits, hubby had seafood mac & cheese. Mine being cold, on an ice cold plate, kinda put a downer on a relatively good experience. I quickly got the waitress and she told me shed have... More

My husband and I just moved to the area and I decided to try their "national famous Seafood Chowder" and coming from the SC coast I'm used to great seafood. Even though I took my order to go it was awesome! I was extremely pleased. I am usually a she crab person but this has been added to my seafood... More
