Casual and welcoming atmosphere with serious emphasis on quality food experience; In a recent stay at CB, I ate at Surf House Cafe numerous times. The braised brisket and accompanying vegetables were scrumptious - well flavored, tender and a generous serving. Another day at lunch, I tried the turkey cuban which was exceptional and my understanding a top seller.. Service... More

This is a small place so it's best to have a reservation if your group is large or just go at a less busy time. Deliciously prepared food, fresh fresh fresh. Even the vegetables were perfection. The chef and wait staff were very helpful in making my need to eat gluten free pleasant and safe. It was very casual, small,... More

We stopped here for lunch on our way to the beach, The environment was simple but appropriate for the beach. There is an emphasis on local food products. All four in our party had a different item from the lunch menu. They were visually appealing and delicious. Good service. After our lunch experience we went back for dessert and had... More

My wife and I visited Carolina Beach for a short 4 day vacation. The Surf House Cafe was by far our favorite of all the restaurant's we visited. Wonderfully prepared and delicious dishes and the service and staff was very friendly. If you visit Carolina Beach check it out you won't be displeased...

Don't be put off by the low key strip mall facade, this restaurant is on par with the best there is. The interior is small, so on a busy weekend make a reservation. Our server was friendly and informative about the menu and the special. We started with a funky bourbon based cocktail and a mojito, then we tried the... More

Best fish tacos I've ever had and the little picked radish and arugula salad on the side was just amazing.

Great food. I ordered catch of the day. It was red snapper. They really know how to cook fish. Nicely seasoned and the skin was crispy. Only place I ate at that knew how to season there food. Didn't need to reach for the salt. The drinks were very good as well the service very good. I would eat here... More

Perhaps one of the better seafood restaurants we had the opportunity to eat just, Surf House features local seafood, produce, and meats. The result is tasty food, well-composed, and superbly executed. Not to be missed - the watermelon salad, oysters (try both raw and roasted), shrimp and grits, and catfish. They also have some original drinks noteworthy of attention -... More

Dined here on advice from the owners of Beacon House B&B ( their favorite restaurant in CB). Very plain looking on the outside. Went at 5:30 pm on the Saturday after July 4th...not a single car in the parking lot & only one other couple inside. I was having my doubts. The interior is as plain as the outside. Looked... More

Hands down, go here for the freshest, most flavorful meal in town. Expect to pay about $20. per entree. We had the trout, corn cakes, kid's grilled cheese, and banana bread pudding. LOVED every bite! Wish we had tried it earlier in the week of our vacation because we would have been back for multiple meals.
