Sunday brunch with dogs

We have been to Havana's on previous visits. Before they offered a buffet brunch, but now you can only order off the menu. The food was good but on this trip we were traveling with our 2 dogs . We had a couple of hours to kill before our cottage was ready so we took the dogs with us (... read more

We went for dinner a few times and have been disappointed every time. No flavor and over cook. The best part is the bar and the Martins other then that don't waste your money. The employees and management are very nice and professional. But train that chef at CB or buy him some spices.

On a rainy Saturday night I bailed into Havanas for shelter and dinner. The shelter was comfortable and attractive, with good service as a real bonus. The food was first class. We had their prime rib that was most excellent and a seafood mix (casarole) with lobster, shrimp, and more baked in a wonderful sauce. We decided to share and... More

We weren't going to eat here because of the mixed reviews. So glad we took "a chance" because all of our meals were delicious! My husband got the chowder and Key West Chicken salad, I got the catch of the day (think it was sea bass), and the other couple got BT's chicken and the fried shrimp platter. The chowder... More

Went to Havana's for a casual dinner the other night and was surprised at how expensive the entrée menu was. Eighteen dollars for a chicken breast with some French fries? I had the lobster seafood bake and it had exactly 2 shrimp and 2 scallops all for 25 dollars. Needless to say, we won't be going back again because there... More

Very good chowder; the cup is a bit pricey but the bowl (a mere buck more) is a great deal and very tasty--among the better chowders in recent memory. Entrees were all well-prepared, well-presented, and very tasty; one of the better restaurants in Carolina Beach / Kure Beach stretch.

Stayed at the Courtyard across the street and the hotel recommended this restaurant. SOOOOOO glad they did. The food was super yummy and the service was great.

Clam chowder is second to none. All of our seafood entrees were wonderful, and our server gave great recommendations. One of the best meals of our vacation!

We stopped in for a quick drink and an appie. The bartender was a bit cold. She served me an old slice of lemon with my beer. When I asked for a new slice, she proceeded to tell me why the old slice ( at least a day old, maybe two) was perfect. Spoiled my time there. The fired calamari... More

With a million dollar location, and a charming exterior and interior, with lots of outdoor seating at the beach, one would think that seafood would be the star of the menu. Unfortunately there is very little seafood offered, One fried basket of shrimp and few others seafood items. Their clam chowder was very highly awarded, but was about $5 for... More
