The name has changed to El Cazador. This was really great Mexican food at an exceptional price. Tremendous menu selection and prepared like the Texas-Mexico border towns do. Family cooking. The enchiladas combo was fabulous, washed down by Dos Exis draft beer. Homemade Salsa and chips. Nice atmosphere and very good service by friendly people.

Food is fast and REALLY good. Great prices, look for the half off coupon in the vacation book! Loved the shrimp quesadillas!

We have been dining at El Zarape/ El Cazador in Carolina Beach for 3+ years, on-season and off, and I have never had a bad meal there for lunch or dinner. The service is always prompt and courteous, the food is excellent and it's in a great location. I've dined there with only adults, with families with young children, with... More

Standard Mexican cuisine. Everything on the menu is good, nothing to write home about. Can't have a bad meal there.

If you get a craving for Mexican food and don't want to travel off-island, then this is the place to go. The food is average, and service can be spotty depending on how packed they are. Parking is almost impossible - a handful of spots in the very narrow, sideways lot. You can try the street, but it's also limited.... More

The best thing about the restaurant is the staff!! They are usually busy but are always friendly!! My kids and I always visit and have a blast here. The food is amazing and delicious. This is one of our favorite places to go while in CB.

Went on February 19th 2012. The food was really good but I asked for unseen ice tea and the sweet n low on the table had sat there so long...it turned solid and would not come out the pack. It was raining the day we were there and there was no heat in in the building.
