Stopped in for a good breakfast. Eggs were overcooked and flavorless. Hash browns needed to be crispier. Had to try the fried green tomatoes and that's what saved my experience from a two star. Nice and crispy, but seasoning was a little overpowering. Surprising since the rest of my food needed more seasoning. I liked the grilled English muffins and... More

The only good point were the omelettes. Bacon, mushroom and pepper Jack was awesome. Gravy tasted from a mix. Biscuits seemed old. It was hot in there (at 9:30 am) and flies were everywhere. The waitress was very nice but we wouldn't go back.

Went on a Sunday, was very busy but the hostess Vicki greeted us right away. Took our name and offered us beverages as we might have a bit of a wait. She was moving fast trying to get tables bussed, names taken and I even saw her door ring drink orders. She was so pleasant while we waited. She made... More

Asked a few locals for a good, home-cooked spot; all pointed to Granny's. Appeared shabby both outside and inside. Tables were smudged and flies were all over the place. Our server barely greeted us and just pointed to the tables for us to sit down. I was ready to bolt out of there, but kids were hungry and tired. When... More

The 45 - 50 minute wait (after ordering) was NOT worth the quality of the food. AND after the wait, we had to wait longer because they got my sons order wrong. I got the shrimp & grits & grits were too bland.

Granny's Kitchen is our go-to place for a hearty breakfast when in Carolina Beach. The portions are big and the food is terrific. Like your country grandma would make. A must to try while visiting C.B.

Just a step or two down the road from our hotel and very nice. We ate outside, had great omelets, excellent coffee and friendly wait staff.

Our family has been eating at Granny's for many years, and it just keeps getting better! There's always the classic omelets and amazing pancakes, french toast (on whole wheat or Texas style bread!) biscuits, etc. All are delicious. But this year, we noticed an expanded lunch menu that offers more trendy options, such as health conscious wraps. Be prepared to... More

Our party of 7 visited yesterday for lunch. There were open tables and two servers (one male and one female) so the restaurant was not that busy. Our food came out in three separate rounds! The first round came over 40 minutes after we ordered, other patrons (a 2 top) waited even longer. My father waited 10 minutes longer for... More
