We were a diverse group: two grandparents, a mom, 2 teenage girls, and a two year old. Dockside was a perfect choice. We chose outdoor seating, and they worked with our call-ahead request, avoiding the dreaded wait with a toddler in tow! Delicious hush puppies were quickly provided and service followed quickly and efficiently to meet all other needs. Food... More

Fantastic food and service! We went on a Saturday night expecting a long wait and were seated immediately! I had fried shrimp and broiled flounder; best I have had in a long time. Others in my party all raved about the fried shrimp. Server was very attentive and did a great job. Calabash has a reputation for great seafood, and... More

The décor is outdated, worn, and dirty. It is a bit noisy. The seafood did not taste fresh, in fact, tasted old. The oysters on the deluxe seafood platter were border line spoiled, definitely overcooked and old. The soft shelled crab was all stuffing and no crab. The shrimp were small and tasteless, definitely not local. The hushpuppies were mediocre.... More

Shrimp were very small and seafood platter was not the best. Salad was decent. Food was average. Good service though.

This place, in my opinion, has the best bang for your buck for seafood in myrtle beach. The plates are filled to the brim and their hush puppies are to die for. Best seafood in Myrtle beach for sure!

After waiting 40 minutes for our table, we were seated in a noisy, dated dining room. I know it is seafood restaurant, but the smell of seafood was overpowering. Should have been my first clue. Our server was a joke. She wasn't pleasant, dropped off the huspuppies with not a word, forgot to give us our silverware and told us... More

We always go here while in OIB. They give a ton of food for a reasonable price. Get there early because the place is always packed. The hush puppies are amazing! I always have fried shrimp and clams. The chowder was really good. Definitely a local favorite.

We have been vacationing in OIB for many years and Dockside is one of our must stops. While there are many calabash style seafood establishments in the area we have always found the Dockside to be the most consistent. It's always good to get there early to beat the dinner rush...if not you may wait for a bit. We went... More

My family and I went to eat here on vacation and it was a disaster. First off we had to move tables due to water dripping from the ceiling, second our waiter had no knowledge of the food. We asked how the salmon was and he replied, "I ate it once." Third we had to ask for our drinks to... More

We liked the food, the waitress was very knowledgeable and the atmosphere was nice. We were told by some locals to eat here and they were right. All four of us enjoyed our dinner. I had grilled chicken, my friend had fried shrimp and our husband's had the seafood platter. The hush puppies were really good and sweet, just the... More
