First time for us. It was like eating at a place you could tell was once good and the talk of the town, but has steadily declined over the years.

We have been going here for last four years as a family. The atmosphere & wait staff is awesome. The price is average at best for what you get. Food has steadily declined over the years. House salad consisted of one half of a cucumber one half of a cherry tomato and way too much uncut lettuce. Thats it. Combo... More

This restaurant is well positioned by the docks making the wait for a table enjoyable. The seating/table arrangements are great for large families or groups. The food is probably par for the course and reasonably priced. Personally, I would have been just as happy (maybe happier?) eating at the picnic table & little seafood stand in the parking lot :)... (This review completed by my 9- and 6-year olds, Tucker and Tyler): My family goes here every year. They have great seafood and service. And I like their catfish and I like to look at the fishing boats on the dock.

We visit this restaurant a couple times each year during our vacations to the area. We get there early to avoid the crowds. Great views and good service, always plenty of food and drinks never empty.

Just about the only good thing I can say about this restaurant is the baskets of hush puppies they give you are fresh and hot, and the flounder was pretty good. The atmosphere is pretty hectic, what with the extremely long wait time for an inside table. Because we had hungry children with us, we chose to sit outside (a... More

We were a diverse group: two grandparents, a mom, 2 teenage girls, and a two year old. Dockside was a perfect choice. We chose outdoor seating, and they worked with our call-ahead request, avoiding the dreaded wait with a toddler in tow! Delicious hush puppies were quickly provided and service followed quickly and efficiently to meet all other needs. Food... More

Fantastic food and service! We went on a Saturday night expecting a long wait and were seated immediately! I had fried shrimp and broiled flounder; best I have had in a long time. Others in my party all raved about the fried shrimp. Server was very attentive and did a great job. Calabash has a reputation for great seafood, and... More

The décor is outdated, worn, and dirty. It is a bit noisy. The seafood did not taste fresh, in fact, tasted old. The oysters on the deluxe seafood platter were border line spoiled, definitely overcooked and old. The soft shelled crab was all stuffing and no crab. The shrimp were small and tasteless, definitely not local. The hushpuppies were mediocre.... More

Shrimp were very small and seafood platter was not the best. Salad was decent. Food was average. Good service though.
