First of all, I need to make a big admission--we are avid seafood fans. Love seafood. I think over the years, my husband and I have eaten at every restaurant in Calabash at least once. On our last trip to Myrtle Beach last week, we went to Calabash for Friday evening dinner. Once there, we decided on Dockside. We were... More

Having lived in NC for over 40 years, we had heard good things about this restaurant. Let us preface. We are HUGE Calabash fans and very much love our NC coast. That being said. This restaurant is on a very slippery slope to oblivion. It's simply horrible. We both ordered boiled shrimp, baked potato. My wife ordered scallops. I ordered... More

The seafood was decent and decently priced. Nothing jumped out as being superior though. The New England clam chowder was just a notch above Campbell's. Friendly service. No real complaint. Had better seafood at other restaurants this week.

If you're looking for the typical Calabash seafood, this is it. Not bad, but not fine dining either. Nice location by the water with good service.

Typical tourist "on the water" type seafood restaurant. It was crowded and there was a wait, but fortunately, not long. Food was good (I had fried shrimp). In my opinion, I thought it was a little high priced but I guess it was priced accordingly in comparison to the other restaurants in the area.

Went there for a fresh seafood dining experience and because it was right on the water, I thought it would be great. Unfortunately, the food seemed as if it was microwaved and not actually cooked properly. My husband got the broiled Deluxe seafood platter and had to send it back as the crab he got with it tasted of freezer... More

This is your standard tourist trap, nice view of the waterfront. Scallops were good but the oysters were old and just about spoiled. Ate outside, lots of flies, and service was slow. Prices are a little high.. I doubt the locals eat here, had lunch the following day at the dock shack and the food was much better, the Dockside... More

My husband and I had a wonderful meal at Dockside in Calabash,NC. The flounder, shrimp, and deviled crab was excellent. We enjoyed the view at the restuarant that is located close to a dock with boats. I highly recommend the restuarant to anyone. It was the best seafood we have had in a long time with great service.

First time for us. It was like eating at a place you could tell was once good and the talk of the town, but has steadily declined over the years.

We have been going here for last four years as a family. The atmosphere & wait staff is awesome. The price is average at best for what you get. Food has steadily declined over the years. House salad consisted of one half of a cucumber one half of a cherry tomato and way too much uncut lettuce. Thats it. Combo... More
