Nothing was bad. Just very average food. Many selection were fried. Too much competition in the area. Need to step up their game. They do have loyal customers, but we have found many other restaurants that are better.

Last week during our annual Thanksgiving trip to Myrtle Beach, SC, we drove up to Calabash, NC for dinner. We chose Dockside Seafood House based on a previously good dinner my wife and daughter had there earlier in the year. This time it wasn't so good. I ordered the combination platter. The fish was dry and wrinkled like it had... More

This is the way Calabash seafood is supposed to be! Service was great, food was cooked to perfection. It was crowded but we were in and served quickly!

I would hope our experience was just an "off-season" one. Our waitress was prompt and courteous and we got the food in short order and that may have been a problem. It tasted as if it was cooked a good bit earlier than when we ordered it (greasy and hard). Shrimp and oysters rated 3 stars, and the deviled crab... More

I would NOT recommend this place to NO one! The owner and manager were rude and VERY disrespectful. HATEFUL! They were only concerned about getting our money! On top of that, the food was HORRIBLE. It was like eating a plate of lard and the prices were ridiculous!

Easy to see, and taste, why this place is popular. The seafood is fresh, cooked as it should be, and the service is friendly. Prices are quite reasonable. A little noisy, but that's to be expected - it's quite a large restaurant. Sometimes the wait is long, so it is best to go early.

We wait patiently for our annual trip to Calabash NC in order to enjoy the BEST SEAFOOD EVER! There are lots of places that try to make "Calabash " style seafood but only the Dockside Seafood Restaurant knocks it out of the ballpark! The shrimp literally melt in your mouth. The deviled crabs should be called heavenly crabs because of... More

Very friendly and efficient service. Fairly good menu selection. Nice, family friendly atmosphere. Went twice recently and everyone enjoyed themselves and their food. Prime rib was mostly low in fat (for prime rib). I had a seafood plate. Excellent scallops, good clam strips, blah shrimp. Fairly good but nothing outstanding except the service.

Overall the food was very good. The service could be a litter better. We had a party of eight and the waitress started out by asking if anyone had taken our drink order, then told us how best they can split the ticket which would be better by having two separate tickets. The waitress forgot silverware for one person and... More
