Interesting spot

Helpful and friendly staff and atmosphere. A relaxing spot. The fried clams were a bit chewy but the rest was tasty. However, most food is fried so be aware. The hush puppies were a nice surprise treat.

The food was good and one of the best meals we ate while in the area. The service was a little slow, but it was busy when we were in there so it was understandable.

Our group of ten had a variety items some fried, some broiled. The winning dish was the fried shrimp. These lightly battered shrimp were sweet and tender. We will return next year.

We have been coming to the eastern coast for vacation's for almost thirty years. We were looking back and both agreed that Captain Nance's Seafood has always been a great place to eat. We have always gotten excellent service and delicious food. We have visited as a couple and as a large family group and have never been disappointed.

We ate here for a late lunch/early dinner. We tried to go to crabby odd waters but arrived before they opened. So, we opted for captain nances. Our waitress was very attentive. Some of us ordered sweet tea not realizing how sickening sweet it was. The waitress was nice enough to mix us a pitcher of half sweet half unsweetened.... More

We were really looking forward to some great seafood on our first trip to Calabash. We chose this restaurant because most of the reviews were positive. We waited about 30 minutes for a table but our order wasn't taken for another 20 minutes. Our server, Terri, came by twice & said she would be right back. We received it about... More

Stopped in for a bite over the weekend. The food was fantastic and so was the service. Beautiful views of the river. We enjoyed watching the boats come in with their catch. I definitely plan to go back on my next trip

This restaurant has always had a very good seafood menu. Have been here several times over the past few years. Always enjoy coming here. This is not a buffet. but the choices are very good. I usually order shrimp, scallops and/or oysters - and did this trip. Hope to return again soon.

Food seems to be tasteless, poor quality. Lunch special was all piled onto a small plate. This was our second trip in 5 months and most likely will not return. It does have a nice view.

During the annual visit to the beach the grandkids and "kids" have to go to The Creamery!! They even keep track of the monthly specials, like Sunset Peach on the net. Good ice cream but be prepared to get in the long line in summer and holidays. Do It!!
