Yummy, Waterfront Dining

Go early to get a waterfront table overlooing the Calabash River and fishing docks where the charters and shrimp boats dock. I have eaten here many times over the years and have never been dissappointed. The quantity is plentious and I always need a take-home plate, because I can't eat it all. I... read more

Enjoyed the seafood here on our last night in Myrtle Beach. If we had known it was so good, we would have made it here twice on this trip. Seafood is perfectly breaded and fried to perfection. Servers are very nice and food comes out of the kitchen fairly quickly. Will be back here again!!

We hadn't been to Captain Nance's in a few years. Not likely to go back. The Mussel's tasted old. The waitress did bring a replacement dinner of another item that was ok. Another member of our family had a steak which is always a risk in a seafood place. It was horrible. Tasted like fried in margarine. Service was good.... More

Was looking for a place for Calabash style seafood. Also wanted a sit down place with A/C. Ended up at Captain Nance. Our first red flag was that it was just partially filled for dinner on Saturday night. The restaurant looked tired and was just a big square room. Even with it less than half full, it was VERY loud.... More

We ended up here after all the other restaurants were full. Luck of the draw I guess! The atmosphere is just okay at best but the food made up for it. The portions were way more than expected. I had fried oysters and for the first time it's more than I could eat. Would definitely eat here again! Diamond in... More

My husband and I had lunch here last week. We had eaten here years ago, many times. We were a party of 10 and we were seated pretty quickly. Most of us decided to order the $7.95 lunch special. It took a VERY long time for our food to come. Four out of ten orders were wrong and there was... More

We were referred to this restaurant by someone in Myrtle Beach. The drive there was 20 minutes, but so worth it! I ordered the broiled tuna and my boyfriend ordered crab legs! We also tried their deviled crab and everything was well seasoned and perfectly cooked!! I will make sure to stop by this place whenever I'm in the area.

Fair value for the price, definitely not a four or five star restaurant, but serves the purpose; was noisy and hot when we were there (thursday night in July); still had to wait about 30 minutes for a table. Though we were a party of 13. Basic fried fish and food--nothing really green on the menu (vegetables); Hush puppies are... More

This a typical Calabash seafood restaurant so if you are looking for seafood prepared in a different style go find another more expensive place in Myrtle Beach. The food here is very good and tasty - yes it is fried. You can order certain items broiled, etc. The serving sizes vary to fit you appetite. Service was fast and we... More
