We went early for supper and had no problem getting a table. Get a table at the back windows! The portions are large, we went home with doggie bags. Don't care for their slaw mushy and has sweet relish. We will probably return.

We have been here a few times and the food was good. But last night it was really bad. The server was very busy with three large groups of six or more and we were a couple. Food came out after twenty five minutes after we were seated and cold. Could not get the lady back to the table because... More

The Calabash style seafood is pretty predictable in taste. This place is always packed. We had a short 15 min wait today. This is a very popular place for locals, snowbirds and tourists

Most of the restaurants that specialize in "Calabash" style seafood -- fried shrimp and other fare -- serve up massive quantities of food that the average person could never eat in one sitting. We noticed that Captain Nance's offered "senior" servings for less money which contained just enough. I got the fried oyster platter with cole slaw and fries. The... More

Once again, our family ended up having lunch at Captain Nance's Seafood 4 times during Thanksgiving week. Every meal was just as you expect fresh seafood to taste. The crab balls were good as was the oyster stew. Hushpuppies, shrink, fish, cold slaw and fries or a baked potato for $ 6.50. Where can you beat that? Nothing fancy, just... More

We were looking for a local favorite for lunch and happened on this restaurant. Great view, good fried fish, did not like the coleslaw (tasted like it had relish in it). Hushpuppies were very good - a little sweet, served with honey butter. Service very good. One in our party had a cheeseburger and said it was excellent. Appeared to... More

My husband and I have been eating with the Captain Nance Family (employees) for 35 years. Only two disappointing meals in all that time and we found out the regular cooks were not on those days. Flounder with crab dressing is good, taste of the slaw is great, hushpuppies fine. The lunch specials are a great price and you get... More

The food was not as good as we remembered the last time we ate there two years ago. The portions were small for the prices and the food was quite greasy. Our server was horrible to top it off too. The better choice would have been Dockside Seafood located right beside it. The people we talked to in theparking lot... More
