We decided since we always go to calabash now, we had to try this place, which we did for lunch. Every place there has a lunch special and this one was good. Maybe not quite as good as Ella's or the Seafood Hut, but good. So, if you need variation on your seafood theme on vacation, this place is also... More

I felt like a beer, alas not here. The iced tea was great. The stuffed flounder was delicious. reason Maybe the best I've had. However the fried flounder was boney. Somebody didn't properly filet the fish. As a youngster this is one reason I never ordered fish. Anything that's that much work isn't worth eating. I managed to eliminate the... More

In the sixties our next door neighbors had a house in Myrtle Beach that we visited every summer. And every summer we'd make the pilgrimage to Calabash for seafood. As a kid, I thought it was an entire city of seafood restaurants. Now there's only Captain Nance's. It was a great meal and the price was right, it didn't even... More

The atmosphere is a typical fish camp style that you could find anywhere. They are NOT handicap friendly as the tables are so close together anyone with a walker cannot get through hardly without having to get someone to move. The shrimp are tiny 45/50 count even for cold boiled. They do not have the larger count shrimp and far... More

We ate here for lunch. They have great lunch specials. I had the lunch special of shrimp and deviled crab. It came with fries, cole slaw, and hush puppies. It was good. Our server was very friendly and brought out refills on drinks and hush puppies in a timely manner without being asked. I would definitely visit here again.

Had combination platter. Excellent. Scallops were the best we have ever eaten. Ate there for lunch. Would recommend.

Have had lunch there numerous times and have enjoyed each meal. Not fancy but good food and service with a nice view onto the inter coastal water way. They have a nice little seniors menu at lunch and the servings are just a perfect size for a light lunch for under $7.00. Little out of the way but worth the... More

Very year our first stop for seafood is Capt.Nance's in Calabash, NC. The food is great, the scallops melt in your mouth! Service is friendly and fast. In the peak summer time, may need to wait some, but it's worth the wait. After dinner, we walk down to the docks and check out the catch of the day!

The menu covers more than just fried fish, and everything tastes good. Their stuffed flouder is really good. Locals love to eat here, and you can always run into someone who know or haven't seen in a while. Visitors keep coming back.

Our family has made eating at Captain Nance's an annual tradition on our beach trip. Easy to get in and out with large group. Food good and reasonable.
